- A case under Burglary has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. In between 23/08/2008 at 2100 hrs and 25/08/2008 at 0900 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the West coast Agency and Marketing shop at Nellikayi road Mangalore belonging to one Ismail Haroon (33) R/o Nellikayi Mangalore by breaking the window glass and committed theft of cash Rs.24, 511/.

- A case of outranging the modesty of women, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in the Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 25/08/2008 at 1800 accused Prabhakara abused one Arathi (46) R/o Pakkalapade Meramajalu village Bantwal Taluk in filthy language and tried to outrage her modesty by pulling her hand and also gave life threat to her.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 24/08/2008 at 2200 hrs on NH 17 at Kotekaru village Mangalore Taluk one unknown driver of Tipper Mini lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-D-6069 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-E-7527. As a result unknown scooter rider sustained serious injuries. Further he was succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital. The Tipper Mini lorry driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 25/08/2008 at 1620 hrs near St Agnes College at Bendorewell Mangalore one driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-4778 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Neelakantan (46) R/o Mulihithlu Mangalore a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 24/08/2008 at 1100 hrs at Badakabailu Kariyangala village Bantwal Taluk one Chandrahasa rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-7406 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Rama Poojary (66) R/o Ammunje village Bantwal Taluk a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 24/08/2008 at 1930 hrs on Ujire- Charmady road at Ujire village Belthangady Taluk one Santhosh driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-9518 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-9914 due which the auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-9914 capsized. As a result Narayana (27) R/o Badakottu Ujire village Belthangady Taluk driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-9914 and other passengers who were traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.

On 25/08/2008 at 1145 hrs accused Rafeeq, Abdul Jaleel and other 20 persons forming into unlawful assembly near Bajilakeri at Mangalore and criminally restrained one Mohan Kumar (30) R/o T.T. road Mangalore and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

- A case under Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 23/08/2008 at 1100 hrs accused Mohandas, Mahabala and Dhananjaya criminally restrained one Vivek Acharya (48) R/o Krishnapura Katipalla village Mangalore Taluk at Naithangady Katipalla village Mangalore Taluk and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him with stone owing to trivial issue.
- A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 24/08/2008 at 0915 hrs accused Jayanthi and her son Avinash abused one Malathi W/o Gangayya R/o near Soda Factory Akashbhavana Kavoor Mangalore in filthy language near her house and assaulted her son Suraj with stone and also gave life threat to them owing to civil dispute between them.
- A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 24/08/2008 at 1600 hrs accused one Iqbal abused one Iqbal R/o Kodimajalu Pudu village Bantwal Taluk in filthy language near his house and assaulted him with wooden stick owing to civil dispute between them.

- A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 25/08/2008 at 1815 hrs on credible information PSI Lottery and Excise detention squad Mangalore along with staff conducted a raid on an open place at Sankadady Panjimogeru village Mangalore Taluk and seized illegal liquor (15 Lts) worth Rs. 1, 000/. How ever accused one Pious Kutianha who was selling these liquor has managed to escape from the place.
- A case under the Prevention of Immoral Traffic Act has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 25/08/2008 at 1715 hrs PSI Kavoor PS on rounds arrested Ayeesha Banu (22) R/o Koramangala Bangalore and Ahammed Fayaz (20) R/o Kasaragod District Kerala State who were soliciting for prostitution at public place near Palaneeru at Kavoor Mangalore.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. In between 23/08/2008 and 25/08/2008 at 1400 hrs one Rosamma (67) R/o Gandy Bagilu Neriya village Belthangady Taluk committed suicide by hanging at Devagiri forest Neriya village Belthangady Taluk owing to health problem.
