- A case under Ordinary Theft has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On the intervening night of 25-26/08/2008 some unknown culprits committed theft of 1450 meters telephone cable that was fixed to the telephone poles and a telephone pole belonging to BSNL at Panaje village Puttur Taluk. The stolen property is worth Rs. 62,350/.

- A case of MV Theft has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 22/08/2008 in between 0930 hrs and 1430 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Yamaha motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-K-4321 belonging to one Karunakara K. Salian R/o Pilimogaru village Bantwal Taluk that was parked in front of Sathkar Hotel at B.C. Road Bantwal Town. The motorcycle is worth Rs. 14,000/.

- A case under Cruelty by husband, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt, along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station on the complaint of one Pushpa (35) W/o Girisha @ Giriyappa Gowda R/o Koppa Maderi Nelyady village Puttur Taluk. In the complaint it is alleged that accused Girisha @ Giriyappa (husband) gave physical and mental harassment to Pushpa and on 25/08/2008 at 1000 hrs he assaulted her with wooden stick and he also gave life threat to her owing family dispute.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 25/08/2008 at 1950 hrs in front of Jyothi Theatre at Mangalore one driver of KSRTC bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-F-2210 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Traffic signal pole. As a result Traffic signal pole and Solar Light got damaged. No causalities reported.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 21/08/2008 at 1900 hrs at Mitthabailu Bantwal Town one Latheef S.A. rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-1728 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Althaf (26) a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.

On 26/08/2008 at 1650 hrs accused Deepak, Yatheen and other 3 persons forming into unlawful assembly at Aletty cross Gandhinagara Sullia Town and criminally restrained one Abdul Rahiman (21) R/o Aletty village Sullia Taluk and abused him filthy language and assaulted by hand and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 26/08/2008 at 0430 hrs one Hameed H. (40) R/o Kundadka Kowkardy village Puttur Taluk accidentally slipped into the well near his house and died due to drowning.

- A case of Boy missing has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. One Vijaya (20) R/o Jeppu Mangalore left his house on 25/08/2008 at 0800 hrs and did not return to his house there after. He has been found missing since then.
