In between 22/08/2008 at 2000 hrs and 23/08/2008 at 0800 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the Three Star Tailor shop at Kolya Someshwara village Mangalore Taluk belonging to one Ismail P.A. (45) R/o Munoor village Mangalore Taluk by breaking the door lock and committed theft of garments of worth Rs.8, 500/.
- A case of Burglary has been registered Subramanya Police Station. On the intervening night of 23-24/08/2008 some unknown culprits gained entry into the office room of S.S. Pre University College at Subramanya village Sullia Taluk and committed theft of a Computer with Monitor, a Printer, a UPS and a Xerox machine all in worth Rs. 70,000.

In between 22/06/2008 and 22/08/2008 at 0800 hrs accused Ashraf (22), Nazeer (25) and Jakariya (22) commited theft of 200 Kgs iron rods from the constructing building at Shanthinagara Vittal Mudnoor village Bantwal Taluk belonging to one Mohiddin Shafee R/o Kambalabettu Idkidu village Bantwal Taluk. The stolen property is worth 8,500/.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 24/08/2008 at 0700 hrs near Kandettu cross at Bikarnakatte Mangalore one Kunhikannan driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-5589 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-20-R-6973. As a result motorcycle rider one Udayakumar sustained serious injuries. Further he was succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 24/08/2008 at 1810 hrs near bus stand at Yedapadavu Thenkayedapadavu village Mangalore Taluk one Javed driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AE-2211 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and applied break suddenly due which one Jagadhisha (26) R/o Thenkamijaru village Mangalore Taluk a passenger of said bus was thrown out of the bus and sustained serious injuries. Further he was succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital.
