- A case under Criminal trespass, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Outraging the modesty of women has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 05/08/2008 at 1330 hrs accused Aamu, Farooq and Iqbal criminally trespassed into the house belonging to one Sabana (23) W/o Mohammed Basheer R/o Shanthi Nagar Padnoor village Puttur Taluk and abused her in filthy language and assaulted her and her husband by hand and also outraged the modesty of her by pulling her dress owing to trivial issue.

- A case of Fatal road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 07/08/2008 at 1345 hrs near AJ hospital at Kuntikana Mangalore one driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AE-5066 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-8757 driven by Chandrashekara (37) R/o Kudmoru Charvakku village Puttur Taluk. As a result pillion rider of said motorcycle one Asha sustained serious injuries and died on the spot.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mamgalore North Police Station. On 07/08/2008 at 1445 hrs near Kudmal Ranga Rao hostel at Bunts hostel Mangalore one driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AD-1177 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Maruti Omni car bearing Reg. No. KA-20-M-3052. As a result car got damaged. No casualty reported.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 04/08/2008 at 1330 hrs at Haudal Shirthadi village Mangalore Taluk one Jayaprakash (21) R/o Hinala Mantradi village Mangalore Taluk rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-X-5910 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which motorcycle capsized. As a result motorcycle rider Jayaprakash sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 07/08/2008 at 0805 hrs at Vidhyagiri Putthige village Mangalore Taluk one Sadhananda Kundar driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-8485 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Mini van bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-3765. As a result some passengers of said mini van sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 02/08/2008 at 1630 hrs on NH 17 at Kallapu Mangalore one Jaya Poojary rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-S-6516 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Mithun (19) R/o Ullasnagar Kavoor Mangalore a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.

On 07/08/2008 at 1330 hrs accused Sabha @ Sulaiman abused one Abdul Rahiman (44) R/o Lallandadka Kodippadi village Puttur Taluk in filthy language and assaulted him with stone and with iron rod and also gave life threat to her owing to previous enmity.

- A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Venoor Police Station. On 07/08/2008 at 1700 hrs on credible information PSI Venoor PS along with staff conducted a raid on an open place on Ananya complex at Irvathoor village Belthangady Taluk and seized 31 liquor bottles (each 180 ML) worth Rs. 1025/ by arresting Balakrishna Shetty (44) R/o Irvathoor village Belthangady Taluk who was selling these liquor illegally there.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 07/08/2008 at 1320 hrs one Lokesha (25) while working in the Paul Garage at Adyar Mangalore accidentally touched the electric wire due which he got electrocuted. Further he succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 30/07/2008 at 1630 hrs one Vishwanatha Poojary R/o Bagambila Kotekaru village Mangalore Taluk attempted to commit suicide by consuming poison in his house. Further he was admitted to Wenlock hospital Mangalore where he was declared dead while under treatment on 06/08/2008 at 1040 hrs.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 31/07/2008 one Venkappa Belchada (58) R/o Devasya Kolnadu village Bantwal Taluk got serious injuries while cutting branches of the tree. Further he was admitted to Fr. Muller’s Hospital at Mangalore where he succumbed to his injurious while under treatment on 06/08/2008 at 2300 hrs.

- A case of Man missing has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. One Ashoka R/o Kodange B.C Road Bantwal Taluk went to office at Kaikunje Bantwal on 15/07/2008 at 0900 hrs and did not return to his house there after. He has been found missing since then.
