- A case under Dowry death has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station on the complaint of one Mosas (60) R/o Rathapuram Talulk Tamilnadu State. In the complaint it is alleged that accused Mutthurajan @ Rajamani (Husband) gave physical and mental harassment to his wife Irudayam (21) W/o Mutthurajan @ Rajamani R/o Shivashakthi Compund Kallabettu village Mangalore Taluk to bring more dowry due to which she was committed suicide on 21/08/2008 at 1800 hrs by hanging in her house.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 22/08/2008 at 2200 hrs at Porkody Bajpe village Mangalore Taluk one rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-7407 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-8821 driven by Jayaprakash (22) R/o Moodushede village Mangalore Taluk. As a result Shailesh pillion rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-8821 sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 23/08/2008 at 0530 hrs at Vamanjoor Mangalore one Hammad driver of Tipper lorry bearing Reg. No. KL-3A-4876 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-2519. As a result lorry driver Hammad and Chandrashekara (52) R/o Moodabidre Mangalore driver of said jeep sustained simple injuries.

On 23/08/2008 at 0945 hrs at Moolarapatna Arala village Bantwal Taluk one Mohammed Ashraf driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-7112 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-4687. As a result rider of motorcycle one Dhanjaya and Kosappa Gowda who was traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 23/08/2008 at 0800 hrs at Satthikallu Kedila village Puttur Taluk one driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-34-A-1157 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Maruti Omni car bearing Reg. No. KA-02-MC-9167. As a result Rahamathulla P. (48) R/o Magady Bangalore, Iqbal Husain and Mohammed Nowshad who were traveling in the said Maruti Omni car sustained grievous injuries.

On 22/08/2008 at 2300 hrs on Gundya- Subramanya road at Shirady village Puttur Taluk one Narayana driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-378 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a tree. As a result cleaner of lorry Kamalaksha (29) R/o Nekkilady Uppinangady sustained grievous injuries.

- A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 23/08/2008 at 1705 hrs accused Thimmappa, Nonayya R/o Deraje Indabettu village Belthangady Taluk, Praveena, Girija and Chandravathi abused Krishnappa Gowda (60), his Wife Cheluvamma and their son Prasad in filthy language near their house and assaulted them with wooden stick and with sickle and also gave life threat to them. The motive seems to be civil dispute between them.
