- A case of Ordinary theft has been registered in Ullal Police Station. In between 19/08/2008 and 20/08/2008 at night some unknown culprits committed theft of Telephone cables (1200 meters) belonging to BSNL at Talapady village Mangalore Taluk. The total worth of stolen property is about Rs. 4,900/.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 21/08/2008 at 1600 hrs on NH 48 at Kalladka Golthamajal village Bantwal Taluk one driver of Eicher lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-02-AC-5139 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Mohammed Shareef a pedestrian and caused him serious injuries and died on the spot. The lorry driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 22/08/2008 at 1045 hrs on NH 48 at Valthaje Kowcrady village Puttur Taluk one driver of LGP Gas Tanker bearing Reg. No. KA-01-C-8583 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Tata Indica car bearing Reg. No. KA-05-AA-276. As a result car driver Narashiha and Padmavathi who were traveling in the said car sustained grievous injuries and died on the spot. Further the Tanker driver lost control over his vehicle due which Tanker capsized. Muralikrishna and Vijayavani who were traveling in the said car sustained grievous injuries.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 21/08/2008 at 1700 hrs near St Theresa School at Bendoor Mangalore one driver of Bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-6303 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a car bearing Reg. No. KA-20-N-4669 driven by one Dr. Sabeena (31) R/o Bendoorwell Mangalore. As a result the car got damaged. No casualties reported.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 21/08/2008 at 1215 hrs near Vidyaranya Nagar at Ullal Mangalore one Harish K driver of Maruthi Omni car bearing Reg. No. KL-14-G-4343 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Lingappa Poojary (60) R/o Manjeshwara Kasaragod Kerala State a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.

On 21/08/2008 at 1400 hrs at Mudipu Junction Kurnadu village Bantwal Taluk one Akbar Ali driver of Tipper lorry bearing Reg. No. KL-14-F-2022 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Chevappa (40) R/o Kurnadu village Bantwal Taluk a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 21/08/2008 at 1330 hrs at Nellyadi Kowkardy village Puttur Taluk one Vijaya Kumar driver of jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-21-M-1385 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-21-E-1854. As a result one Ashok (270 R/o Umesagu Ichlampady village Puttur Taluk rider of scooter sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 21/08/2008 at 1330 hrs on NH 48 at Subramanya cross Uppinangady village Puttur Taluk one driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-40-1683 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-8021 that was parked near roadside from behind. As a result Narashihamoorthi Cleaner of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-40-1683 and Gangadhara (35) R/o Madikallu Chikkaballapura who was traveling in the said lorry sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 20/08/2008 at 1930 hrs one driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-20-6842 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against the entrance gate of AMPC at Kuntikan Mangalore. As a result the entrance gate got damaged. The damaged is caused is about Rs 50, 000/.
