- A case of Burglary has been registered Mangalore North Police Station. On 14/08/2008 in between 1530 hrs and 1545 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the Staff room of St. Aloysious college at Mangalore and committed theft of a Dell laptop (model 1330-xPS) belonging to one Re. Fr. Richard Rego (40) R/o Bhavutagudda Mangalore that was kept in his staff room.

In between 13/08/2008 at 0700 hrs and 14/08/2008 at 0700 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Tipper lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-9386 belonging to one Abdul Rahiman (34) R/o Sajipanadu village Bantwal Taluk that was parked at Kanchinapadavu Sajipanadu village Bantwal Taluk. The Tipper lorry is worth Rs. 8,00,000/.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 14/08/2008 at 0600 hrs at Karangalapady Mangalore one Santhosh driver of car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-P-7463 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-5701. As a result one Prabhakara (24) R/o Perinje Hosangady village Belthangady Taluk driver of said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 13/08/2008 at 1815 hrs on NH 17 near bus stand at Panambur Mangalore one Shivaji driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-25-B-5841 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-X-3006 from behind. As a result Nelson Steavan D Souza (21) R/o Krishnapura Surathkal Mangalore motorcycle rider and Kiran Roshan D Souza pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. In between 13/08/2008 at 0645 hrs and 14/08/2008 at 0645 hrs one Shekara (40) was found dead in his room at Ashwathapura Mangalore Taluk. The death seems to be due to some illness.
