On 02/08/2008 in between 1900 hrs and 1930 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Hero Honda Splendor motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-K-6968 belonging to one Sathyajith (32) R/o Kodikal Mangalore that was parked at parking place of Service Bus Stand Mangalore. The motorcycle is worth Rs. 14,000/.

No. KA-21-9778 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-K-6085. - A case under Seizure of Stolen property has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 05/08/2008 at 0235 hrs ASI Ullal PS along with staff apprehended Mohammad Saleem (33) R/o Urumane Manjanady village Mangalore Taluk and Irshad (24) R/o Chembugudde Permannuru village Mangalore Taluk who were found moving suspiciously in an auto rickshaw near at Beeri junction Kotekar village Mangalore Taluk. On enquiry it was learnt that the auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-6130, 5 small Gas cylinders and an Exide battery has been stolen somewhere else and the auto rickshaw was seized. The total value of property seized is worth Rs. 75,000/. Accordingly a case was registered in Ullal PS .

On 29/07/2008 at 1730 hrs on credible information PSI Uppinangady PS along with staff conducted a raid on open place at Panekallu Bandaru village Belthangady Taluk and seized 24 liquor bottles (each 180 ML) of worth Rs. 9,00/ and by arresting Adappa Gowda (44) R/o Bandaru Belthagandy Taluk and Mancha Mugera (40) R/o Bandaru Belthangady Taluk.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 25/07/2008 at 2030 hrs one Sarojini (70) R/o Mogaveerpatna Ullal Mangalore sustained serious burn injuries while trying to light a Kerosene lamp in her house. She was admitted to Wenlock Hospital at Mangalore where she succumbed to her injuries while under treatment on 05/08/2008 at 0530 hrs.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 04/08/2008 in between 0920 hrs and 2120 one Neelappa (28) R/o Ontetthoor Mooda Nadugogu village Bantwal Taluk committed suicide by hanging in his house owing to personal problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. In between 04/08/2008 at 0800 hrs and 05/08/2008 at 1300 hrs one Satheesha (23) R/o Bakimaru Sangabettu village Bantwal Taluk committed suicide by jumping into the Palguni river near his house owing to personal problem.
