In between 02/08/2008 at 2230 hrs and 03/08/2008 at 1600 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Dinesh (25) R/o Montepadavu Manjanady village Mangalore Taluk by breaking the front door lock and committed theft of a DVD Player and cash Rs.1, 500 all in worth Rs. 5,500/.

On 02/08/2008 at 1230 hrs accused one Srikantha Bhat criminally trespassed into the house belonging to one Radha (30) R/o Bareya Pilya village Belthangady Taluk and abused her in filthy language and assaulted her with iron rod and damaged the house by breaking the wall and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

On 03/08/2008 at 1200 hrs accused one Pathak (38) abused one Shobha (14) D/o Batyappa Gowda R/o Periyadka Uppinangady village Puttur Taluk in filthy language near his house and tried to outrage her modesty by pulling her dress.

On 02/08/2008 at 2230 hrs in front of Durga Motors at Padukodi village Mangalore Taluk one unknown car driver drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Mehabooba Thandy Dhaval (35) R/o Kushtagi Thaluk Koppala District a pedestrian and caused her grievous injuries. The car driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 03/08/2008 at 0900 hrs at Berike 34 Nekkilady village Puttur Taluk one driver of KSRTC bus bearing Reg. No. KA-09-F-3735 drove his vehicle rash and negligent manner and dashed against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-449. As a result auto rickshaw driver Divakara (32) R/o Panjoor Bannur village Puttur Taluk and his wife, Deeksha and Deepika who were traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained grievous injuries.

ASP Puttur along with his staff conducted raid in Sun Rock Resort at Nada village Belthangady Taluk and arrested Rukmayya Poojary (28) R/o Nidle village Belthangady Taluk, Divya (19) R/o Hebbala Bangalore and Madhukara (40) R/o Nidle village Belthangady Taluk who were soliciting for prostitution there.
- A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Kadaba Police Station. On 03/08/2008 at 1500 hrs on credible information PSI Kadaba along with staff conducted a raid on open place at Kadaba Town Puttur Taluk and seized 12 liquor bottles (each 180 ML) of worth Rs. 440/ by arresting Kutti (35) R/o Renjilady village Puttur Taluk who were selling these liquor bottles illegally there.
