- A case of Fatal road accident has been registered in Konaje Police Station where in one Denial (60) R/o Konaje Padavu Mangalore has been declared dead while under treatment on 01/02/2008 at 0130 hrs. The said Denial was seriously injured by an auto rickshaw in a road traffic accident on 13/01/2008 at 1150 hrs at Natekal cross Konaje village Mangalore Taluk and admitted to the K. S. Hegde Hospital at Deralakatte Mangalore. In this connection a case has been already registered in Konaje Police Station.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Venoor Police Station. On 31/01/208 at 0430 hrs at Arasu Katte Naravi village Belthangady Taluk one Ambadas Karibar Karath driver of bus bearing Reg. No. MH-21-6124 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which bus capsized. As a result Ambadas Karibar Karath driver of bus, Narayana Moote (45) and Reshma Bai (70) who were traveling in the said bus sustained serious injuries and died on the spot. Further 18 passengers who were traveling in the said bus sustained grievous injuries.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 30/01/2008 at 2220 hrs at Nanthoor Mangalore one unknown rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Q-2718 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-6479. As a result Santhosh rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-6479 and Rohidasa @ Rohith (27) R/o Bejai Mangalore pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries. The another motorcycle rider escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 31/01/2008 at 0800 hrs at Jeppu Mangalore one rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-3347 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Sunanda R/o Atthavara Babu Gudde Mangalore a pedestrian and caused her simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 31/01/208 at 0215 hrs on NH-17 at Someshwara village Mangalore Taluk one Ratheesh A. V. driver of Maruti Omni car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Z-1796 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which Maruti Omni car capsized. As a result Niveditha (27) R/o Kolya Someshwara village Mangalore Taluk, Nishitha, Lakshmi and Maniyani B. A. K. who were traveling in the said car sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 31/01/208 at 1500 hrs at Handelusutthu Moodabidre Mangalore one Sunaipu driver of new car drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against Maruti Omni car bearing Reg. No. KA-20-A-5846. As a result Prashantha Kumar (26) R/o Nalluru village Udupi District driver of Maruti Omni car and Ganesh who was traveling in the said Maruti Omni car sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 31/01/2008 at 2000 hrs at Santhekatte Belthangady Town one Ashraf rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-H-9941 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a new motorcycle. As a result Sadananda Shetty rider of new motorcycle and Ashraf rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-H-9941 sustained simple injuries.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 31/01/2008 in between 0400 hrs and 0500 hrs one Mutthappa Suvarna (70) R/o Paila Bajpe Mangalore committed suicide by consuming some poison in his house owing to personal problem.
