• A case of Ordinary Theft has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 09/02/2008 in between 0030 hrs and 0820 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of cash worth Rs. 7,500/ belonging to one Nivesh (33) R/o Surendra Nagara District Gujarath State that was kept in his room No. 140 at Vasanthmahal Lodge Mangalore.

• A case under Cruelty by husband and his relatives, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Kadaba Police Station on the complaint of one Jayanthi K. (22) R/o Keremudelu Kadaba village Puttur Taluk. In the complaint it is alleged that accused Prasanna Kumar (husband) and his relatives Kamala, Hukru and Seetha abused her in filthy language and gave physical and mental harassment to her to bring more dowry and assaulted her with wooden stick and they also gave life threat to her.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 09/02/2008 at 1420 hrs near Nava Bharath circle at Mangalore one unknown driver of an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-5398 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-4122. As a result Ramesh Anchan R/o Neermarga Mangalore rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries. The auto rickshaw driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 08/02/2008 at 0915 hrs at Kaikamba Moodabidre village Mangalore Taluk one unknown Omni car driver drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a bicycle. As a result Sumantha (11) rider of said bicycle sustained simple injuries. The Omni car driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Konaje Police Station. On 08/02/2008 at 2210 hrs on Mudipu-Thokkuttu road at Konaje village Mangalore Taluk one Shivashankara rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-K-3791 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-8835 driven by one Sandesh. As a result riders of both motorcycles and Yashavantha (24) R/o Perlapady village Puttur Taluk pillion rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-K-3791 sustained grievous injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 09/02/2008 at 1900 hrs at Car Street Sullia Town one driver of car bearing Reg. No. KA-04-ME-6604 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one John Backlists Lobo (59) R/o Devasa Sullia Town a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 08/02/2008 at 2130 hrs at Bandarybettu Bantwal Town one Nagesha driver of Maruti car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-P-8132 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-L-3009. As a result Sachin pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 07/02/2008 at 1600 hrs near Railway station at Bantwal Town one Sadiq driver of jeep bearing Reg. No. CNX-766 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-02-EL-9366. As a result Nithin Shetty (24) R/o Amtoor village Bantwal Taluk pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.

• A case under Rioting, Criminal trespass, Mischief causing damage along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 09/02/2008 at 1500 hrs accused Hovamma, Prabhakara Marate, Ravindra Amin, Sarvothama, Vimala and others forming into an unlawful assembly with deadly weapons near Pranthya school at Pranthya village Mangalore Taluk and criminally trespassed into the land of belonging to Ramanna (53) R/o Pranthya village Mangalore Taluk and damaged the land and also gave life threat to him. The damage is caused about Rs. 50,000/. The motive seems to be civil dispute between Ramanna and accused persons.

• A case under the Prevention of Immoral Traffic Act has been registered in Women Police Station. On 09/02/2008 at 1800 hrs on credible information PI DCIB along with his staff conducted raid at Lalbhag junction Mangalore and arrested Haseena (21) R/o Kavoor Mangalore, Riyana @ Haneefa (24) R/o Hosangady Kerala State and Seema (22) R/o Kallepadav Bantwal Town who were soliciting for prostitution there.
  
• A case under the Prevention of Immoral Traffic Act has been registered in Women Police Station. On 09/02/2008 at 1830 hrs on credible information PI DCIB along with his staff conducted raid near KSRTC bus stand at Mangalore and arrested Priya (24) R/o Manjeshwara Kerala State and Vijaya @ Lakshmi Nayak (37) R/o Car Street Mangalore who were soliciting for prostitution there.

Unnatural Death Report: 02

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. In between 08/02/2007 at 2030 hrs and 09/02/2008 at 0600 hrs one Umesh Poojary (28) R/o Badaga Bellur village Bantwal Taluk committed suicide by jumping into well near his house owing to personal problem.
  
• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Venoor Police Station. On 09/02/2008 at 1100 hrs one Uggappa Poojary (57) R/o Nelya Kumaru Kukkippady village Puttur Taluk committed suicide by consuming poison at Mavinakkatte Shivanagara Chennaithody village Puttur Taluk owing to health problem.

Missing Persons: 02

• A case of Girl missing has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. One Sandya Varudini (21) R/o Atthavara Mangalore who went to college on 07/02/2008 at 0800 hrs and did not return to her house there after. She has been found missing since then.
  
• A case of Man missing has been registered in Kadaba Police Station. On 30/01/2008 at 2030 hrs one Harish Kulal (30) R/o Mooraje Kodimbala village Puttur Taluk was found missing while fishing near Kumaradhara river at Mooraje Kodimbala village Puttur Taluk and got washed away. He has not been traced so for.
