• A case of MV Theft has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 06/02/2008 in between 0100 hrs and 0600 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Maruti Omni car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-M-9028 belonging to one Prasad N. (30) R/o Kayar Palke Neermarga village Mangalore Taluk that was parked in the premises of his house. The car is worth Rs. 85,000/.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 16/02/2008 at 0915 hrs near Mangaladevi Temple at Mangalore one rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-1446 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-S-1845. As a result Amith Lobo (23) R/o Jeppinamogeru Mangalore rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-S-1845 and Volter D’ Souza pillion rider of the said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.

• A case under Criminal restraint, Hurt, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 17/02/2008 at 1900 hrs accused Palanivelu, Annadorai and Senthil criminally restrained one Thukarama R/o Sooterpete Mangalore at Mahakalipadpu Jeppu Mangalore and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and also gave life threat to him. The motive seems to be civil dispute between Thukaram and accused persons.

• A case under Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Kadaba Police Station. On 17/02/2008 at 2230 hrs accused one Raja criminally restrained one Rajagopala (54) R/o Pudrelu Kombaru village Puttur Taluk near his house and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him with wooden stick owing to trivial issue.

Unnatural Death Report: 04

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 18/02/2008 in between 1900 hrs and 2015 hrs one Naveen (19) R/o Belthangady Taluk committed suicide by hanging in his room at Akshaya Hotel Baikampady Mangalore owing to personal problem.

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 18/02/2008 in between 0600 hrs and 0700 hrs one Raju (30) R/o Palthadu Kolthige village Puttur Taluk committed suicide by hanging near in his house owing to personal problem.

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 18/02/2007 at 1830 hrs one unknown male dead body aged about 55 to 60 yrs was found at Nethravathi Gudde Dharmasthala village Belthangady Taluk. It seems to be a case of suicide by hanging.
  
• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 18/02/2008 at 2100 hrs one John Squira (60) R/o Karmbethila Sonandoor village Belthangady Taluk committed suicide by consuming poison in his house owing to personal problem.

Missing Persons: 01

• A case of Girl missing has been registered in Sullia Police Station. One Mamatha (19) R/o Kaipadka Sampaje village Sullia Taluk who left her house on 18/02/2008 and did not return her house there after. She has been found missing since then.
