- A case of Murder has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 21/02/2008 in between 0930 hrs and 1045 hrs two unknown persons hired an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-8532 from B.C. road to Pachinadka. While the auto rickshaw reached near Pachinadka at Bantwal Town the unknown persons who were traveling in the auto rickshaw killed the driver of said atuo rickshaw one Iqbal by stabbed him with a sharp wepon for some unknown reason. Case is under investigation.

- A case of Burglary has been registered in Urwa Police Station. In between 19/02/2008 at 1900 hrs and 20/02/2008 at 0800 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry gain into the house belonging to one Novel Vass R/o Barebail Bejai Mangalore by breaking the front door lock and committed theft of gold ornaments, a Gas cylinder and a Mixer Grinder all in worth Rs. 24,500/.

In between 19/02/2008 at 2130 hrs and 20/02/2008 at 0600 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of an Activa Honda scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Q-1207 belonging to one Pundalika Kamath K. (50) R/o Vyasanagara Kadri Mangalore that was parked near his house. The Activa Honda scooter is worth Rs. 15,000/.
- A case of MV Theft has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. In between 11/02/2008 at 2300 hrs and 12/02/2008 at 0600 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Tipper lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-536 belonging to one Prasad M. (40) R/o Nireshwalya road Mangalore that was parked at Nereshwalya junction Bundur Mangalore. The Tipper lorry is worth Rs. 5,50,000/.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 20/02/2008 at 1225 hrs at Mahakalipadpu Jeppu Mangalore one unknown driver of car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Z-9077 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-K-6581. As a result scooter rider one Balthzar D’ Souza R/o Jeppina Mogeru Mangalore sustained simple injuries. The car driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 17/02/2008 at 2230 hrs near Narahari Parvatha at Panemangalore village Mangalore Taluk one Shailendra rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-8991 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Naresh Kumar a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident as been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 20/02/2008 at 1115 hrs at Peraje Aletti village Sullia Taluk one Jayarama rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-J-9387 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an electric pole. As a result one Jayarama rider of the said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.

On 17/02/2008 at 1500 hrs near KISCO factory at Panambur Mangalore accused one Sharanappa abused one Guddappa (27) R/o Karooru village Ranibennur Taluk Haveri district in filthy language and assaulted him with wooden stick owing to trivial issue.

On 20/02/2008 at 1015 hrs accused Narayana Saliyan, Likhith, Ankith and Niha criminally trespassed into the land at Kolya Someshwara village Mangalore Taluk belonging to one Preetham (25) R/o Ambika road Someshwara village Mangalore Taluk and criminally restrained Preetham and abused him in filthy language and also gave life threat to him. The motive seems to be civil dispute between Preetham and accused persons.

On 20/02/2008 at 1330 hrs on credible information PSI Surathkal PS along with staff conducted a raid on open place near Sadashiva Temple at Surathkal Mangalore and seized 43 liquor bottles (each 180 ML) of worth Rs.1, 200/ by arresting one Kishore (29) R/ Meeyaru Karkala Taluk Udupi District who was selling these liquor bottles illegally there.
