- A case under Criminal trespass, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Outraging the modesty of women, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 16/02/2008 at 1330 hrs accused Rasheed, Basheer and Nazeer criminally trespassed into the premises of house belonging to Johara (32) R/o Urundadygudde Panjimogaru village Mangalore Taluk and abused her in filthy language and outrage the modesty of her by pulling her hand and assaulted her with stone. They also assaulted Sakeena and Bifathima by hand who were came to help Johara and also gave life threat to them. The motive seems to be civil dispute between Johara and accused persons.

- A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 16/02/2008 at 2145 hrs at Anugraha Bar & Restaurant at Urwastore Mangalore accused Sachin, Vikram and Dinesh abused Surendra and Anish the workers of said Restaurant in filthy language and assaulted them with soda bottle and also gave life threat to them. Motive seems to be dispute regarding settlement of bill payment.
- A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 15/02/2008 at 2330 hrs at Bala village Mangalore Taluk accused Kishore conductor of bus route No. 13J, Ranjith driver of said bus and other two persons abused one Kiran (20) R/o Santhosh Nagara Vamanjoor village Mangalore Taluk cleaner of bus route No. 15A in filthy language and assaulted him by hand. The motive seems to be dispute over timing of the bus routes.
- A case under Hurt has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 16/02/2008 at 2200 hrs in front of Shambhavi Hotel at Baikampady Mangalore accused Sandeep and Kishore assaulted one Chethan (38) with cold drink bottle owing to trivial issue.

- A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 16/02/2008 at 1515 hrs on credible information PSI Ullal PS along with staff conducted a raid at an open place at Newpadpu Adamkudru village Mangalore Taluk and seized illegal liquor (210 Lts) value of worth Rs.2,000/ by arresting Richard D’ Souza (35) R/o Newpadpu house Adamkudru village Mangalore Taluk who was selling these liquor illegally there.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 16/02/2008 in between 0900 hrs and 1515 hrs one Sampath (35) accidentally fell down near Cargo Gate at Kana village Mangalore Taluk due to heavy drunkenness and died on the spot.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 16/02/2008 at 0800 hrs one Prakash K. (30) R/o Badiyadka Jalsoor village Sullia Taluk attempted to commit suicide by consuming poison in his house owing to personal problem. Further Prakash K. admitted to Govt hospital at Sullia where he declared dead while under treatment on same day at 0900 hrs.
Missing Persons: 01
- A case of Man missing has been registered in Sullia Police Station. One Narayana (40) R/o Kodithil Ivarnadu village Sullia Taluk left his house on 12/02/2008 at 1800 hrs and did not return to his house there after. He has been found missing since then.
