• A case under Criminal restraint, Outraging the modesty of woman along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 21/02/2008 at 1700 hrs one Savitha (15) R/o Nekkare Netlamudnur village Bantwal Taluk was on her way from school to home by walk. At that time accused one Chandrahasa (25) R/o Hemaje Netlamudnur village Bantwal Taluk criminally restrained her and tried to outrage her modesty by pulling her hand and also gave life threat to her.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 21/02/2008 at 2130 hrs at Surikumeru Mani village Bantwal Taluk one Azad Singh driver of Tanker lorry bearing Reg. No. MH-04-CU-2939 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another Tanker lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-31-B-7191. Further Tanker lorry driver bearing Reg. No. KA-31-B-7191 lost control over his vehicle due which Tanker lorry capsized. As a result one Lokesha (23) R/o Thenkakajekaru village Bantwal Taluk driver of the Tanker lorry Reg. No. KA-31-B-7191 sustained simple injuries.

• A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 22/02/2008 at 1400 hrs on credible information PSI Kavoor PS along with staff conducted a raid on open place at Yedurupadavu Moodushedde village Mangalore Taluk and seized 16 liquor bottles (each 180 ML) of worth Rs. 400/ by arresting one Rajesh Bhat (35) R/o Yedurupadavu Moodushedde village Mangalore Taluk who was selling these liquor bottles illegally there.
