- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 06/02/2008 at 1800 hrs at Kolaidabailu Malady village Belthangady Taluk one Ramesh Sheony rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-18-H-7048 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Bicycle. Further motorcycle rider lost over his vehicle due which motorcycle capsized. As a result Yashodhara bicycle rider, Ramesh Sheony motorcycle rider and Chandrashekara pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained serious injuries. Further Yashodhara was admitted to Wenlock hospital at Mangalore where he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on 07/02/2008 at 0715 hrs.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Barke Police Station. On 05/02/2008 at 2030 hrs at Lalbagh Mangalore one unknown driver of car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-N-8043 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Q-2137. As a result one Melvin (42) R/o Shanthinagara Kavoor rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries. The car driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 28/01/2008 at 1415 hrs at Jeppu Mangalore one Jagadhisha rider of Activa Honda scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-R-8053 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which the Activa Honda scooter capsized. As a result one Ranjan (34) R/o Jeppu Mahakalipadpu Mangalore pillion rider of the said Activa Honda scooter sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 05/02/2008 at 1800 hrs at Punchame Kariyangala village Bantwal Taluk one driver of car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-MA-9922 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner dashed against an Electric pole due which Electric pole got damaged. The damage caused is about 8,000/. No casualties reported.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 06/02/2008 at 0620 hrs at Marigudi Belthangady Town one unknown driver of KSRTC bus bearing Reg. No. KA-31-F-936 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Martin Fernandez a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries. The bus driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

- A case under House trespass, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 06/02/2008 at 0050 accused Aravinda B. Shetty, Harish B. Shetty and Shivarama criminally trespassed into the house belonging to one K. J. Shetty (75) R/o Kalloli Kadandale village Mangalore Taluk in filthy language and assaulted to him by hand and also gave life threat to him. The motive seems to be financial dispute between K. J. Shetty and accused persons.

- A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 06/02/2008 at 1930 hrs on credible information PSI Puttur Town PS along with staff conducted on open place near Purusharakatte at Narimogaru village Puttur Taluk and seized 120 arrack sachets (each 100 ml) of worth Rs. 1,700/ by arresting Monappa Poojary (53) R/o Indira Nagara Narimogru village Puttur Taluk who was selling these arrack sachets illegally there. However another accused Vedanatha Suvarna managed to escape from the scene .

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. In between 05/02/2008 and 06/02/2008 at 0800 hrs one Mahabala Poojary R/o Pallamajalu Bantwal Town committed suicide by hanging near his house owing to financial problem.
