• A case of Burglary has been registered in Mulky Police Station. On 02/02/2008 in between 0930 hrs and 1310 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Lidiya Rodrigues (42) R/o Padubailu Karnadu village Mangalore Taluk by breaking the front door lock and committed theft of gold ornaments of worth Rs. 60,000/.

• A case under Criminal restraint, Rape along SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities act has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 30/01/2008 at 1930 hrs accused one Farooque criminal restrained one 37 old woman belonging to Dalith community R/o Harikallu Kadwshwalya village Bantwal Taluk at Kemmannu Palke Bantwal Taluk and forcibly raped her.

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 03/02/2008 at 0130 hrs on NH 48 at Nethravathi old Bridge Bantwal Taluk one Abdul Jabbar driver of car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-P-3438 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle and dashed against a bridge. As a result Abdul Rahiman (44) R/o Panemangalore village Bantwal Taluk, Abdul Jabbar driver of said car, Mohammed Sharief and Adam who were traveling in the said car sustained grievous injuries. Where in Mohammed Sharief succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident as been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 02/02/2008 at 1400 hrs on NH 17 at Tharethota Mangalore one driver of car bearing Reg. No. KA-46-4499 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an Activa Honda Scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-1492. As a result scooter rider one Sunny K. C. (45) R/o Kavoor Mangalore sustained simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Venoor Police Station. On 01/02/2008 at 1500 hrs at Aladangadi Badagakarandur village Belthangady Taluk one driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-M-5756 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Honda Activa scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-S-1383. As a result one Meera Shetty (40) R/o Kedu Badagakarandur village Belthangady Taluk rider of said scooter sustained simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident as been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 02/02/2008 at 0900 hrs at Marasanka Jalsur village Sullia Taluk one Gopalakrishna Bhat rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-J-7098 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-H-4965. As a result Mahalinga Patali K. (47) R/o Jalsur village Sullia Taluk rider of said motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-H-4965 sustained simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mulki Police Station. On 02/02/2008 at 0945 hrs in front of Sairam complex at Mulki Mangalore Taluk one Nithyananda Shetty driver of WagonR car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Z-5552 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-9741 due which auto rickshaw capsized. As a result auto rickshaw driver Dinakar Salian (45) R/o Hejamadi village Udupi district sustained simple injuries.

• A case under Intentional Insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Attempt to murder has been registered in Kadaba Police Station. On 02/02/2008 at 1700 hrs at Gujjamela Charwaka village Puttur Taluk accused Nona @ Nonayya abused one Choma in filthy language and attempted to kill him by assaulting them with sickle owing to previous enmity.

Riots: 01

• A case under Criminal restraint, Rioting, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 02/02/2008 at 1545 hrs accused Ravi Poojary, Jagannath Poojary, Sudhakara Poojary, Dejappa Poojary, Rajappa, Keshava and others forming into an unlawful assembly at Panipila village Mangalore Taluk and criminally restrained one Dinesh Poojary (19) R/o Valpadi Nellikaru village Mangalore Taluk and assaulted him with iron rod and also gave life threat to him. The motive seems to be civil dispute between them.

Unnatural Death Report: 01

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. In between 01/02/2007 and 02/02/2008 at 1200 hrs one Amar Thapa (21) R/o Kaikunje Bantwal Taluk committed suicide by jumping into well near his house owing to health problem.
