Fatal: 02

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 10/02/2008 at 1700 hrs at Koudoor Kandavara village Mangalore Taluk one Mani driver of Tractor bearing Reg. No. KA-19-P-5340 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Manjunatha (28) R/o Badami Taluk a pedestrian and caused him serious injuries. Further Manjunatha was admitted to Wenlock Hospital at Mangalore where he declared dead while under treatment on same day.

• A case of Fatal road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station where in one Martin Fernandez has been declared dead while under treatment on 11/02/2008 at 0545 hrs. The said Martin Fernandez was seriously injured by a KSRTC bus in a road traffic accident on 06/02/2008 at 0620 hrs at Marigudi Belthangady Town and admitted to the Mangala Nursing Home Hospital at Mangalore. In this connection a case has been already registered in Belthangady Police Station.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident as been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 10/02/2008 at 0645 hrs at Lalbhag Mangalore one unknown Ford Icon car driver drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an Advertisement Board. As a result Advertisement Board got damaged. No causalities reported.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 08/02/2008 at 1520 hrs on Moodabidre - Karkala road at Beluvai village Mangalore Taluk one Vijaya rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-2025 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Narayana Sapalia (60) R/o Moodumarnadu village Mangalore Taluk a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 10/02/2008 at 1130 hrs on Venoor-Guruvanakere road at Padangady village Belthangady Taluk one rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-J-1608 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a car bearing Reg. No. KA-20-N-4340. As a result car driver Dr. Praveen and Abdul Rasheed K. (25) R/o Mundukodi village Belthangady Taluk who was traveling in the said car sustained simple injuries and also motorcycle rider and pillion rider of said motorcycle also sustained simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 10/02/2008 at 1400 hrs at Mundalabettu Kavalapadoor village Bantwal Taluk one Venkataramana Gowda driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-3325 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which auto rickshaw capsized. As a result Ramadas, Shobith and another one person who were traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 09/02/2008 at 1630 hrs at Kirinjimule Delanthabettu Kannyana village Bantwal Taluk one Ramanna Gowda driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AB-4339 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-14-E-5360. As a result motorcycle rider one Jayaprasad (23) R/o Kerala State sustained grievous injuries.

• A case under Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 10/02/2008 at 0600 hrs accused one Usman criminally restrained one Mohammed Haneef (32) R/o Gurupura Muloor village Mangalore Taluk at Alaigudde Gurupura Muloor village Mangalore Taluk and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him with stone owing to trivial issue.
  
• A case under Criminal restraint along with Hurt has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 09/02/2008 at 2030 hrs accused Praveena, Naveena, Dinakara and Madhava criminally restrained one Dhananjaya (23) R/o Pilikodi Jalsoor village Sullia Taluk near his house and assaulted him by hand and with wooden stick. The motive seems to be that one Dhananjaya had earlier lodged a complaint against accused persons in Sullia Police Station.

• A case of Affray has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 10/02/2008 at 0930 hrs accused Parikshith (19) R/o Ulaibettu village Mangalore Taluk and Prakash Sanil (24) R/o Bondathila village Mangalore Taluk picked up quarrel and started fighting over trivial issue in a public place at Nanthoor Mangalore. The Police arrested the accused and took up a case under affray (sec 160) IPC.

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 10/02/2008 at 1545 hrs one Ramesh (30) R/o S. C. Colony Nada village Belthangady Taluk committed suicide by hanging near his house owing to personal problem.
  
• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 10/02/2008 at 0030 hrs one Devappa Poojary (35) accidentally slipped into a well while walking at Kuriyady Ira village Bantwal Taluk and died due to drowning.
