• A case of Ordinary Theft has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 30/01/2008 at 1000 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of cash Rs.1, 65,000/ belonging to one Vijayachandra Rao (36) R/o Kumbale Kasaragod District Kerala State while he was traveling in a bus bearing Reg. No. KA-14-A-5497 from Lalbagh to Sate Bank.
  
• A case of Ordinary Theft has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 01/02/2008 in between 1620 hrs and 1640 hrs 2 unknown persons and 4 unknown ladies came to Mayur Jewellery Showroom at Sri Ramapete Sullia Town and pretended as a customer and committed theft of gold ornaments (150grams) worth Rs. 1,50,000/.

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 02/02/2008 at 0900 hrs at Pakkaladka Bajal village Mangalore Taluk one Ahammed Ali driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-C-3335 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Sushith (02) R/o Pakkaladka Bajal village Mangalore Taluk a pedestian and caused him serious injuries. Further he was admitted to Omega hospital at Mangalore where he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on the same day.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident as been registered in Barke Police Station. On 01/02/2008 at 0045 hrs near Empire Mahal at Mangalore one driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-4506 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an Advertisement Board. As a result Advertisement Board got damaged. No causalities reported.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 30/01/2008 at 1615 hrs on Ujire-Belthangady road at Ujire village Belthangady Taluk one driver of Tata Sumo vehicle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-M-3924 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-04-EN-2200. As a result one Stany Kumar (23) R/o Nelyady village Puttur Taluk rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.

• A case under SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Subramanya Police Station. On 19/12/2007 at 2000 hrs accused Jayantha and his wife Veena abused one Ramesha (30) R/o Madroor Yadamangala village Sullia Taluk in filthy language referring to his caste near his house and also gave life threat to him. The motive seems to be trivial issue.
