  • A case of MV Theft has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On the intervening night of 30/06-01/07/2008 some unknown culprits committed theft of a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-1574 belonging to one Jerome Vikas Macarena’s (25) R/o Cirla Padppu Kulashekara Mangalore that was parked in the premises of his house. The motorcycle is worth Rs. 45,000/.

  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 30/06/2008 at 1630 hrs near Sharadha Clinic at Chilimbi Mangalore one Bhaskara driver of car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Z-1258 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against dashed against one Kavitha (46) R/o Lady Hill Mangalore a pedestrian and caused her grievous injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 30/06/2008 at 1730 hrs near Battagudde at Bejai Mangalore one unknown Ambassador car driver drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-697. As a result motorcycle rider one Nagaraja B.V. (31) R/o Vyasaganara Mangalore sustained simple. The car driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

  • A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 01/07/2008 at 2015 hrs on credible information PSI Sullia PS along with staff intercepted an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-3628 at Natikerei Ivarnadu village Sullia Taluk and seized 48 liquor bottle (each 180 ML.) worth Rs. 8,256/ from the auto rickshaw, which was being transported illegally by arresting Puttana Gowda (35) R/o Ivarnadu village Sullia Taluk and Ananda (35) R/o Kayurthody village Sullia Taluk. The said auto rickshaw has also been seized. The total value of property seized is worth Rs. 35, 000/.

Missing Persons: 01

  • A case of Woman missing has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. One Revathi (27) W/o Janardhana R/o Thaembila Amtady village Bantwal Taluk left her house on 01/07/2008 at 0700 hrs and did not return her house there after. She has been found missing since then.
