  • A case under Rape, Cheating, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station where in it is alleged that accused one Avil D’Souza (21) R/o Kallimar Sarappady village Bantwal Taluk had sexual intimacy with one Twenty three year old girl of Agaramelu Iddya village Mangalore Taluk by promising to marry her. There upon he refused to marry her and cheated her and abused her in filthy language and also gave life threat to her.

  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 10/07/2008 at 0945 hrs on Azeezuddin road at Mangalore one driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-C-289 drove his vehicle in backward direction in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a scooter and a motorcycle. As a result the vehicle got damaged. No causalities reported.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 05/07/2008 at 1630 hrs on Padavinangady road at Kavoor Mangalore one Punith rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-X-5374 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Harish (28) R/o Vamanjoor Mangalore a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Konaje Police Station. On 09/07/2008 at 2000 hrs at Puchakatte cross Pajeer village Bantwal Taluk one unknown lorry driver drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-S-4364. As a result motorcycle rider Janardhana and Ravi D. (35) R/o Asigoli Konaje village Mangalore Taluk pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries. The lorry driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 10/07/2008 at 1015 hrs near Bharatha Sevashrama At Kanyana village Bantwal Taluk one Ganesh driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-9090 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which bus capsized. As a result Maimuna (34) R/o Kanyana village Bantwal Taluk and other 14 passengers who were traveling in the said bus sustained simple injuries.

  • A case under Criminal trespass, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Konaje Police Station. On 07/07/2008 at 0800 hrs accused one Kamala criminally trespassed into house belonging to one Sangeetha (27) R/o Montepadavu Manjanady village Mangalore Taluk and abused her in filthy language and assaulted her by hand. The motive seems to be civil dispute between Sangeetha and accused person.

Unnatural Death Report: 02

  • A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 10/07/2008 at 0730 hrs one George Elias D Souza (56) R/o Kudumbur Baikampady Mangalore committed suicide by hanging in his house owing to financial problem.
  • A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 07/07/2008 at 1100 hrs one Babu (35) R/o Mogaveerapatna Ullal Mangalore accidentally fell down from the coconut tree while removing coconut and got seriously injured near his house. Further he was admitted to the Wenlock hospital at Mangalore where he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on 09/07/2008 at 0820 hrs.
