In between 04/07/2008 at 2330 hrs and 05/07/2008 at 1030 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Honda Activa scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-04-EK-624 belonging to one Chandrakala Mallya N (31) R/o Kodialguttu Mangalore that was parked in front of Bridge Square building at Balmatta Mangalore. The scooter is worth Rs. 24,000/.

On 13/05/2008 at 1645 hrs near bus stand at Nanthoor Mangalore one Melwin D Souza driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. CRX-8609 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which auto rickshaw capsized. As a result auto rickshaw got damaged. No Casualties reported.

On 04/07/2008 at 2130 hrs 2130 hrs on NH 17 at Surathkal Mangalore Taluk one Mahammad Sharif driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AC-8578 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an unknown pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.

- A case under Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 05/07/2008 at 0940 hrs accused Raja, Preetham and Shameem criminally retrained one Ramachandra Kotyan (42) R/o Sampige Putthige village Mangalore Taluk near bus stand at Moodabidre and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and also gave life threat to him. The motive seems to be previous enmity between Ramachandra Kotyan and accused persons.
