On the intervening night of 13-14/07/2008 some unknown culprits committed theft of a Bajaj Discovery motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-9038 belonging to one Vincy Arun D Souza (33) R/o Vamanjoor Thiruvail village Mangalore Taluk that was parked in the premises of his house. The motorcycle is worth Rs. 40,000/.

Bhat Lane at Monkey stand Mangalore one rider of Honda Activa scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-X-3137 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Harshith (19) R/o Jeppu Mangalore a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered Mangalore South Police Station. On 13/07/2008 at 1115 hrs near Jeppu Market at Mangalore one Sathyavathi R/o Bolara Mangalore passenger of the bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-8287 while getting down from the bus, the driver of bus moved the bus in a negligent manner due which she fell down from the bus and sustained grievous injuries.

On 13/07/2008 at 2210 hrs in front of Ambika Garage at Halegate Sullia Town one Sadashiva rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-J-163 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-J-4086. As a result Yashawantha rider motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-J-4086 and Ramesha pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 14/07/2008 at 1030 hrs at Kodaje Mani village Bantwal Taluk one driver of KSRTC bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-F-2016 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an Eicher vehicle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-8043 driven by one Harish Rai R/o Bannur village Puttur Taluk. As a result Eicher vehicle got damaged. No causalities reported.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 14/07/2008 at 1145 hrs at Salmara Chikkamudnur village Puttur Taluk one rider of car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-N-6731 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-J-6886. As a result Usman (22) R/o Keremoole Chikkamudnur village Puttur Taluk motorcycle rider and Azaruddin pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.

On 14/07/2008 at 1430 hrs accused Imithiyaz, Parvez, Azeez and Sulaiman criminally retrained one Siraj (23) R/o Tharikambala Bajpe Mangalore near Sahara Flat at Balmata Mangalore and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him with sickle owing to trivial issue.
- A case under Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 14/07/2008 at 1940 hrs accused Dhanraj, Harish and Gopal criminally retrained one Prakash (26) R/o Balkunje village Mangalore Taluk near Govindadas College Iddya village Mangalore Taluk and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him by hand. The motive seems to be dispute over timing of the bus routes.

On 14/07/2008 at 1800 hrs accused Vasu Nayak and Jayanthi criminally retrained one Jayarama Gowda (28) R/o Haindaguru Markanja village Sullia Taluk near his house and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him with sickle owing to trivial issue.

On 14/07/2008 at 1800 hrs accused one Sathish assaulted one Dinesh (35) R/o Guthyar Temple Belthangady Town with wooden stick at Gerukatte Kaliya village Belthangady Taluk and also gave life threat to him owing financial dispute.

- A case under Abetment to commit suicide has been registered in Barke Police Station on the complaint of one Ravindra Assistance Traffic Superintendent KSRTC Bejai Mangalore. In the complaint it is alleged that one Vijaya Kumar driver of KSRTC bus attempted to commit suicide by consuming poison at KSRTC bus stand Mangalore on 14/07/2008 at 1745 hrs.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 14/07/2008 at 1100 hrs one dead body of Laxmana Manohara Londe (21) was found near breakwater at Panambur Mangalore. The death seems to be due drowning.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Kadaba Police Station. On 14/07/2008 at 1430 hrs one Hariyappa Gowda (48) R/o Marakada Dolpady village Puttur Taluk accidentally fell down from the tree while cutting branches of the tree and got seriously injured near his house. Further he was admitted to Govt. hospital at Puttur where he succumbed to his injuries on same day at 1630 hrs.
- A case of Unnatural death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. In between 14/07/2008 and 15/07/2008 at 0900 hrs one Manjunatha R/o Bangalore committed suicide by hanging in his room at Sharavathi lodge at Dharmasthala village Belthangady Taluk owing to personal problem
