On 15/07/2008 at 1000 hrs on credible information PSI (Crime) Ullal PS along with his staff intercepted a Scorpio car bearing Reg. No. KA-10-AA-7359 at Ullalbail Mangalore and seized 30 cans (each 35 Lts) rectified spirit being transported illegally. However accused driver of said car and two unknown persons managed to escape from the place. The Scorpio car has also been seized. Total worth of rectified spirit seized is Rs. 50, 000/ and value of Scorpio car is Rs. 7,00,000/.
In this connection, a case has been registered in Ullal PS under Karnataka Excise Act.
