- A case of MV theft has been registered in Urwa Police Station. In between 20/07/2008 at 2030 hrs and 21/07/2008 at 0930 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Maruti 800 car bearing Reg. No. KA-03-N-6006 belonging to one Joseph Fernandez (45) R/o Hilldale Menar Apartment Ladyhill Mangalore that was parked at parking place of his house. The car is worth Rs. 45,000/.

No. KA-19-6554 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against pedestrians Ivan Kutino (31) R/o Bangady road Ashokanagara Mangalore and Richard Kutino and caused them grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mulki Police Station. On 20/07/2008 at 2300 hrs near Haleyangady junction at Mangalore one Habeebulla driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-16-A-7462 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a tree. As a result driver of lorry Habeebulla sustained simple injuries.

On 21/07/2008 at 1250 hrs at Mukka junction Surathkal village Mangalore Taluk one Mutthappa driver of Tempo bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-3824 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a bus bearing Reg. No. KA-20-A-9887. As a result Mutthappa driver of Tempo, Ramesh (29) R/o Belampalli Kukkaje Udupi District driver of bus, Chandrashekara conductor of said bus and some passengers who were traveling in the said bus sustained grievous injuries.

As a result one Abubakkar (30) R/o Kundodi Thenkayedapadavu village Mangalore rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Barke Police Station. On 21/07/2008 at 1000 hrs one dead body of Siddamma (25) W/o Balavanthappa R/o Syndicate Bank site Gandhinagara Mangalore was found in the well near her house. It seems to be a case of suicide.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On the night of 20-21/07/2008 one Aithappa Kulal (42) R/o Mukarampady Kemminje village Puttur Taluk committed suicide by jumping into well near his house owing to health problem.

- A case of Man missing has been registered in Urwa Police Station. One Dayananda Nayak (34) R/o Bangady road Shediguri Mangalore left his house on 05/07/2008 and did not return to his house there after. He has been found missing since then.
