- A case of Burglary has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. In between 05/07/2008 at 1700 hrs and 07/07/2008 at 1000 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into house belonging to one Leo Pereira at Gumodi Kadeshwalya village Bantwal Taluk by breaking the door lock and committed theft of 15 bags of arecanut. The total worth of stolen property is Rs. 21, 000/.
- A case of Burglary has been registered in Kadaba Police Station. On the night of 03/07/2008 some unknown culprits gained entry into the CPSRI Regional office at Kedu Bilinele village Puttur Taluk by breaking the door lock and committed theft of aluminium pipe, solar light battery and diesel (56-ltrs). The total worth of stolen property is yet to be estimated.

On 07/07/2008 in between 1500 hrs and 1800 hrs accused unknown 3 male and 2 female came to Kamal Jewellery Showroom at Marpady village Mangalore Taluk and pretended as a customer and committed theft of gold ornaments (146 grams) worth Rs. 1,78,850/.

- A case under Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 07/07/2008 at 1700 hrs accused one Mohana assaulted one Puttu (40) W/o Aithappa Mugera R/o Chakotedka Mupperya village Sullia Taluk with wooden stick near her house and also gave life threat to her. The motive seems to be civil dispute between Puttu and accused person.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 07/07/2008 at 1205 hrs at Panambur Mangalore one rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-H-2251 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a car bearing Reg. No. KA-21-N-9745 driven by one Nagesh (56) . As a result rider and pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 07/07/2008 at 0830 hrs at Hasanthadka Balnadu village Puttur Taluk one Baba Prakash driver of jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-20-M-2260 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-A-986. As a result Indira, Ashraf and Ayeesha who were traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.

On 07/07/2008 at 1700 hrs accused one Moidu @ Thalavaru Moidu abused one Purushothama (25) R/o Kasaragod District Kerala State in filthy language at Ghandhinagara Sullia Taluk and assaulted him with cold drink bottle and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 07/07/2008 at 1400 hrs one unknown male dead body aged about 30 yrs was found on railway track at Surathkal Mangalore. It seems to be a case of suicide. Identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 07/07/2008 at 0730 hrs one Sanjeeva Gowda (58) R/o Chavadi Ujire village Belthangady Taluk accidentally slipped into pond while walking near his house and died due to drowning.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Kadaba Police Station. On 07/07/2008 in between 1100 hrs and 1630 hrs one Koragappa R/o Arbi Ramakunja village Puttur Taluk was committed suicide by hanging in his house owing to health problem.
