On 27/07/2008 in between 0100 hrs and 0530 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Devaraja Kava (35) R/o Naduvalachil Veerakamba village Bantwal Taluk by breaking the back door lock and committed theft of gold ornaments and cash Rs. 2, 000/ all in worth Rs. 3,02,000/.

On 27/07/2008 at 1400 hrs accused one Ramanna Naik R/o Kudubi Aletty village Sullia Taluk criminally restrained one Savitha K. (28) W/o Pundarika K.B. R/o Kudubi Aletty village Sullia Taluk near her house and abused her in filthy language and also gave life threat to her owing to trivial issue.
- A case under Cruelty by Husband along with Abetment of suicide has been registered in Belthangady Police Station on the complaint of one Sanjeeva (23) R/o Ujire village Belthangady Taluk. In the complaint it is alleged that accused Achutha (Husband) gave physical and mental harassment to his wife Meenakshi (25) W/o Achutha R/o Thotathady village Belthangady Taluk to bring more dowry due to which on 26/07/2008 at 1400 hrs she committed suicide by hanging at Halakki Ujire village Belthangady Taluk.

On 27/07/2008 at 1130 hrs in front of Gold Palace at Mangalore one Sahul Hameed driver of an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-E-3589 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-6176. As a result motorcycle rider Abdul Hakeem (21) R/o Deevinagara Kunjathbail Mangalore and Azeem Mohammed pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 27/07/2008 at 1245 hrs in front of Kadri Market at Mallikatte Mangalore one Chethan Kamath rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-1529 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an Activa Honda scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-X-4478. As a result Activa Honda scooter rider Chandrashekara Naik (34) R/o Kulashekara Mangalore and Bhramari pillion rider of said scooter sustained grievous injuries.

No. KA-19-B-6496 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-8445. As a result motorcycle rider one Ganapathi P.C. (48) R/o Hosabettu village Mangalore Taluk sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 27/07/2008 at 1720 hrs at Jalsoor Sullia Taluk one Shareef driver of Maruti Omni car bearing Reg. No. KA-21-M-4339 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Maruti 800 car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-5861. As a result Maruti 800 car driver Rama (57) R/o Virajpete Madikeri District and his wife who was traveling in the said car sustained simple injuries.
