  • A case of Burglary has been registered in Konaje Police Station. In between 27/07/2008 at 2030 hrs and 28/07/2008 at 0630 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the Sri Adhishakthi Temple at Dadas Konaje village Mangalore Taluk by breaking the door lock and committed theft of Panchaloha idol of lord Mahaganapathi, gold ornaments and Kanike Hundi all in worth Rs. 23,000/.

  • A case under Criminal restraint, Hurt, Rape along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 28/07/2008 at 1800 hrs accused one Hithakara Moily R/o Kodyadka Puthige village Mangalore Taluk criminally restrained one 25 yrs old girl R/o Obbettu Mitthabailu Putthige village Mangalore Taluk near Nagabana at Mitthabailu Putthige village Mangalore Taluk and assaulted her by hand and forcibly raped her and also gave life threat to her.

  • A case of Fatal road accident has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 28/07/2008 at 1000 hrs at Rangapade Neerumarga village Mangalore Taluk one Imthiyaz driver of Tipper lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-8839 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which lorry capsized. As a result lorry driver Imthiyaz and Lava loader of said lorry sustained serious injuries. Further Lava was succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital.

  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 28/07/2008 at 0830 hrs on Kadri Park at Mangalore one driver of an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-3484 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and applied break suddenly due which Marcin D’Souza (52) R/o Shakthinagara Mangalore who was traveling in the said auto rickshaw was thrown out from auto rickshaw and sustained simple injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 28/07/2008 at 1300 hrs on NH-48 at Thumbe village Bantwal Taluk one Sridhara driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-9323 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Maruti Omni car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-M-2588 driven by one Prakasha (29) R/o Moodanadugodu village Bantwal Taluk. As a result Maruti Omni car got damaged. No casualities reported.

  • A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 28/07/2008 at 1700 hrs on credible information PI Lottery and Excise detention squad Mangalore along with staff conducted a raid on open place near Bus stand at Indabettu village Belthangady Taluk and seized 2 Boxes of liquor bottles (each 180 ML) of worth Rs. 3,165/ by arresting Vasantha Gowda (28) R/o Bangady Indabettu village Belthangady Taluk who was selling these liquor bottles illegally there. The case handed over to Belthangady Police for conducting further investigation.

Unnatural Death Report: 01

  • A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 28/07/2008 at 0900 hrs one Radhakrishnan (32) R/o Tamilnadu State driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-01-B-2417 developed chest pain and died on the spot at Kalladka Golthamajalu village Bantwal Taluk. The death seems to be due to some illness.

Missing Persons: 01

  • A case of Man missing has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. One Gangadhara (70) R/o Kadri Mangalore left his house on 16/07/2008 at 1100 hrs and did not return to his house there after. He has been found missing since then.
