- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 24/07/2008 at 1330 hrs on Kudroli Market road at Mangalore one unknown driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-30-1599 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an Active Honda scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Q-2712. As a result Active Honda scooter rider Mukesh (36) R/o Falnir Mangalore and Bhoshan Rai pillion rider of said scooter sustained grievous injuries. The lorry driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 25/07/2008 at 1230 hrs on College cross road at Gandhinagara Kavoor Mangalore one Dayananda driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AC-4959 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-31-6276 driven by one Yallappa (24) R/o Bajpe Mangalore. As a result both vehicles got damaged. No causalities reported.

- A case of Gambling under Karnataka Police Act has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 25/07/2008 at 1600 hrs on credible information PSI Sullia along with staff conducted a raid on open place at Narkodu Aletty village Sullia Taluk. At the time of raid Police found 08 persons playing “Ander- Bahar” with cards. The Police seized cash Rs. 5, 030/ and playing cards from the spot by arresting Rajesh, Prabhakar and Hukrappa who were indulged in gambling. However other 5 persons managed to escape from the scene.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 25/07/2007 at 1030 hrs one Ramadas Shet (49) R/o Kashi Sadana Dongarakeri Mangalore sustianed serious electric shock while operating electric pump near his house. Further he was admitted to Yenepoya Hospital at Mangalore where he declared dead while under treatment on same day 1115 hrs.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. In between 24/07/2008 and 25/07/2008 at 0800 hrs one Venkappa Gowda (40) R/o Mundethila Kalanja village Belthangady Taluk committed suicide by consuming poison in his house owing to personal problem.
