- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 22/07/2008 at 2300 hrs near MCF Factory at Panambur Mangalore one driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-25-B-8745 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Tipper lorry bearing Reg. No. GA-01-U-2924 from behind due which Tipper lorry moved ahead and dashed against a LPG Tanker bearing Reg. No. KA-01-AA-9330. Further the driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-25-B-8745 lost control over his vehicle due which lorry capsized. As a result driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-25-B-8745 and cleaner of said lorry sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 22/07/2008 at 2200 hrs at Kavu Kelagina Pete Mudnoor village Puttur Taluk one unknown driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-8188 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-7672. As a result rider of motorcycle Narayana sustained simple injuries. The auto rickshaw driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

- A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt, along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 23/07/2008 at 1000 hrs accused one Pandith Iddinabba abused one Abdulla Rahiman (51) R/o Bolluru Badagamijaru village Mangalore Taluk in filthy language near his house and assaulted him with sickle and also gave life threat to him. The motive seems to be civil dispute between Abdulla Rahiman and accused person.

On 16/07/2008 at 1800 hrs accused one Chandra (35) R/o Paika Gutthigaru village Sullia Taluk criminally restrained one Sundara (35) R/o Konadkapadavu Jalsoor village Sullia Taluk near bus stand at Sullia Town and abused him in filthy language and assaulted by hand and also gave life threat to him owing to financial dispute.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Kadaba Police Station. On 23/07/2008 at 1000 hrs one Balanna Gowda R/o Pajjadka Alankar village Puttur Taluk committed suicide by consuming poison in his house owing to personal problem.

- A case of Boy missing has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 22/07/2008 at 1630 hrs one Adarshan Shetty (14) R/o Devasa Kukkipady village Bantwal Taluk went to school at Govt Pre University College Siddakatte Bantwal Town and did not return his house there after. He has been found missing since then.
