On 11/06/2009 at 2245 hrs on specific information PI Mangalore East PS, PSI Mangalore East PS along with SP Special Squad staff conducted raid on Flat no 301 at Divya Deepa Arcade Bendoorwel Mangalore. At the time of raid Police found 20 persons playing “Ander - Bahar” with cards. Police seized cash Rs. 2,52,012/, and playing cards and Gold ornaments from the spot by arresting Abdulla P.T (48), Karim Saheb K. (57), Shridhar (39), M. Hameed (47), Abdulla P. (45), Adbul Rehaman @ Addu (45), V. Ismail Byari (46), Raviraj Nayak (32), Shambhu Mogaveer (57), B. Chandra (40), Lingappa Poojary (28), Harish Shetty (43), Nazir (37), Shyam Sundar K(38), Abdul Rahiman K.S. (53), Hyder Ali (44), K.G. Subramanya @ Suresh (35), Abdul Khader M. (35), Kumar K. (48) and Vinaya Kumar (26) who were indulging in gambling.
In this connection, a case has been registered against the arrested persons in Mangalore East PS U/s 79, 80 of the Karnataka Police Act
