- A case of Burglary has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. In between 30/08/2009 and 0730 hrs of 31/08/2009 some unknown culprits gained entry into the house by removing the roof tiles and committed a theft of Gold ornaments, Cash Rs.600/ a watch and a Kanike Hundi all in worth Rs. 18,000/.
- A case of Burglary has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. In between 2000 hrs of 30/08/2009 and 0730 hrs of 31/08/2009 some unknown culprits gained entry into the mobile shop near bus stand at Uppinangady Puttur Taluk belonging to one Mahammad Sadique M (31) R/o Mata Uppinangady Puttur Taluk by breaking the shetter lock and committed a theft of Cash Rs. 5,000/ old mobile phones. Total worth of the stolen property yet to be estimated.

- A case under Criminal trespass, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Mischief causing damage along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 30/08/2009 at 1230 hrs accused Stevan D Souza, Herald D Souza and Victor D Souza criminally trespassed into the land belonging to one Hilda Sequera (30) R/o Beradka Manchi village Bantwal Taluk and abused her in filthy language and damaged the pence gate and also gave life threat to her owing to civil dispute.
- A case under Criminal trespass along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Subramanya Police Station. On 13/07/2009 accused Ishwara Gowda (42) R/o Chaltharu Yedamangala village Sullia Taluk and Yeliyanna Gowda (56) R/o Chaltharu Yedamangala village Sullia Taluk criminally trespassed into the land belonging to one Janaki Bangera (56) R/o Kodimajalu Yedamangala village Sullia Taluk and gave life threat to her owing to civil dispute.

On 31/08/2009 at 0910 hrs near Little Flower school at Kinnigoli Thalipadi village Mangalore Taluk one Valerian Saldhana driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AD-29 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Sandhya (06) a pedestrian, who sustained serious injuries and died on the spot.

No. KA-19-D-8586, formed into an unlawful assembly and criminally stopped a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-11-J-444 belonging to one Anoop (21) Palyadka Maninalkoor village Bantwal Taluk at Modamkapu Bantwal Taluk and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him with wooden sticks and also tried to kill him owing to trivial issue.
