In between 1200 hrs of 22/09/2009 and 0600 hrs of 23/09/2009 some unknown culprits gained entry into the Moonlight Bar & Restaurant at Thokkuttu Mangalore belonging to one Abhishek Shetty (27) R/o Bhatnagara Thokkuttu Mangalore and committed theft of two mobile phones and cash all in worth Rs. 8,000/.
- A case of Burglary has been registered in Vittal Police Station. In between 0100 hrs of 22/09/2209 and 0300 hrs of 23/09/2009 some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Abdul Khadar (60) R/o Suribailu Bantwal Town and committed theft of gold ornaments and cash Rs. 10,000 all in worth Rs. 23,825/.

On 21/09/2009 at 2200 hrs accused one Mahadeva abused his wife one Bhagya (35) R/o Derebailu Mangalore in filthy language and assaulted her with knife and also gave life threat to her owing to trivial issue.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 23/09/2009 at 1815 hrs on NH 17 at Surathkal Mangalore one driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-6067 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-K-4158. As a result motorcycle rider one Karthik sustained serious injuries and died on the spot.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 23/09/2009 at 1815 hrs on NH 17 near Guruda Bar at Surathkal village Mangalore Taluk one driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-3694 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed collided against one Venkamma (70) R/o Thadambail Surathkal village Mangalore Taluk a pedestrian and caused her serious injuries. Further she succumbed to her injuries while on the way to hospital.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 21/09/2009 at 2015 hrs near Little Flower School at Koornadaka junction at Puttur Taluk one Jalil driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-3634 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed collided against one Abdul Rasheed (15) R/o Kemminje Puttur Taluk a pedestrian and caused him serious injuries. Further he was admitted to Dhanvanthari Hospital at Puttur Taluk where he was declared dead while under treatment on 22/09/2009 at 2000 hrs.

On 22/09/2009 at 1300 hrs near Hoige Bazar at Mangalore one unknown scooter rider drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Thukarama Bengre R/o Bolara Mangalore a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries. The motorcycle rider escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Traffic East Police Station. On 12/09/2009 at 1800 hrs near St. Agnes College at Mangalore one unknown rider of scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-X-37 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Mahadevappa a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries. The motorcycle rider escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 23/09/2009 at 2045 hrs near Munchoor cross at Surathkal Mangalore one Santhosh driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-C-4529 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-3524. As a result motorcycle rider Gopalakrishna (36) R/o Bala village Mangalore Taluk and Prashanth Kumar pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.

- A case under the Prevention of Immoral Traffic Act has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 23/09/2009 at 0300 hrs on credible information PSI Belthangady along with his staff conducted raid in the Green Park Lodge at Dharmasthala village Belthangady Taluk and arrested Dada Khalandar (23), Manjula (24), Irfan (23), Dhanalaxmi (20), Manjunatha and Shabana (23) who were soliciting for prostitution there.
