- A case under Rioting, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 12/09/2009 at 1100 hrs accused Norbert Lobo, Denzil Lobo, Pricilla Lobo, Hilda Lobo, Meriyate Lobo and Florin Lobo forming into unlawful assembly at Deradka Manchi village Bantwal Taluk and abused one Laveen D’Souza R/o Deradka Manchi village Bantwal Taluk in filthy language and assaulted her by hand and also gave life threat to her owing to civil dispute between them.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 12/09/2009 at 1030 hrs on NH-17 at Kulai village Mangalore Taluk one Sridhar driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AA-2255 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one unknown Female a pedestrian and caused her serious injuries. Further she was admitted to Padmavathi hospital at Surathkal where she succumbed to her injuries while under treatment on the same day.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 12/09/2009 at 1235 hrs at Darbe Ukkada Vittal Town Bantwal Taluk one Mohammed Rafeeq rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KL-14-G-9357 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a bus bearing Reg. No. KL-15-7637 due, which motorcycle capsized. As a result motorcycle rider one Mohammed Rafeeq sustained serious injuries. Further he was admitted to Suraksha hospital at Vittal where he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on the same day.
