On 29/01/2009 in between 2130 hrs and 2225 hrs some unknown culprits committed committed theft of a Suzuki Samurai motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Q-795 belonging to one Praveena Kamatha M R/o Kodialbail Mangalore that was parked near Venkataramana Temple at Car Street Mangalore. The worth of motorcycle is Rs. 10,000/.
- A case of M.V. Theft has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 31/01/2009 in between 2100 hrs and 2300 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Suzuki Samurai motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Q-1501 belonging to one Dhiraj Kajekar R/o Morgans Gate Mangalore that was parked in front of Swadesh Hotel at Balmatta Mangalore. The Suzuki Samurai motorcycle is worth Rs. 18, 000/.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Surathkal Police Station where in one Ravi S.K. (45) was declared dead while under treatment on 03/02/2009 at 1800 hrs. The said Ravi S.K. sustained seriously injured by a Maxi cab in a road traffic accident on 03/02/2009 at 0840 hrs on NH 17 at Karnadu Mangalore Taluk and admitted to AJ Hospital at Mangalore. In this connection a case has already been registered in Surathkal Police Station.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 04/02/2009 at 0930 hrs on Kadoor-Bantwal State highway at Halaje Chibidre village Belthangady Taluk one Prabhu driver of Maxi cab bearing Reg. No. KA-22-3518 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Qualis car bearing Reg. No. MH-04-BS-2210. As a result one Siddappa Mururappa (39) R/o Anthagange Bhadravathi Taluk Shimogga district driver of Qualis car sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 04/02/2009 at 1210 hrs on Kadoor-Bantwal State highway at Halaje Chibidre village Belthangady Taluk one Nagesh driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-A-1219 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-2383. As a result motorcycle rider sustained grievous injuries.

On 02/02/2009 at 1800 hrs at Bogodi at Panemangalore village Bantwal Taluk one Abdul Rahiman driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-C-1115 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which auto rickshaw capsized. As a result one Abdul Ashif (26) R/o Sajipa Munnur village Bantwal Taluk who was traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.

- A case of Counterfeiting currency has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station on the complaint of Sukumar H, Senior Manager Vijaya Bank Bendoor Branch Mangalore where in it is alleged that in between 28/10/2008 and 27/11/2008 some unknown customers came to the Vijaya Bank Bendoor Branch Mangalore and deposited cash. On checking, bank officials found a counterfeit currency of face value Rs. 500/.
- A case under Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Criminal intimidation has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 04/02/2009 at 1530 hrs accused Musthafa (28) and Muneer (24) criminally restrained Ram Prasad (25) R/o Ajjavara village Sullia Taluk and Vinaya near Purabhavana at Sullia Town and abused them in filthy language and also gave life threat to them owing to trivial issue.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 04/02/2009 at 100 hrs one Nonayya Poojary (52) R/o Daivangala Gudde Adyapady village Mangalore Taluk accidentally fell down from a Palm tree near his house while removing toddy and got seriously injuries and died on spot.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 04/02/2009 In between 0830 hrs and 0845 hrs one Smt. Baby (30) R/o Mundruppady Mundaje village Belthangady Taluk committed suicide by hanging in her.
