On 06/02/2009 at 1710 hrs near Maroli Jodukatte at Mangalore one Carol (16) R/o Premagudde Padil Mangalore passenger of the bus while getting down from the bus, the driver of bus moved the bus in a negligent manner due which he fell down from the bus and sustained simple injuries. The bus driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered Mangalore East Police Station. On 06/02/2009 at 2130 hrs near Balmatta nursing home at Mangalore one unknown driver of KSRTC bus bearing Reg. No. KA-33-F-13 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a pole belonging to Balmatta petrol bunk. The bus driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 05/02/2009 at 2300 hrs one Shruthi S. T (17) R/o Lalithanagara Ujire village Belthangady Taluk attempted to commit suicide by consuming some poison in her house owing to personal problem. Further she was admitted to Benaka hospital at Ujire Belthangady Taluk where she was declared dead while under treatment on 06/02/209 at 0950 hrs.
