- A case under Abetment of suicide along with Rape has been registered in Mulki Police Station on the complaint of one Jaya Moolya (40) R/o Mudduttu Yelinje village Mangalore Taluk. In the complaint it is alleged that accused one Saleem raped a sixteen-year-old girl due to which she was committed suicide on 11/02/2009 at1000 hrs by hanging in her house.

On 11/02/2009 at 2000 hrs on Kadoor-Bantwal road at Belthangady Town one Suresh Kulal driver of Tipper lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-20-B-1318 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Bicycle. As a result Bicycle rider one Janardhana (28) sustained serious injuries and died on the spot.

No. KA-08-AP-3437 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Tanker lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-C-2580. As a result driver of Tata Indica car sustained simple injuries.

As a result auto rickshaw driver Prakash and Sundara (46) R/o Kajoor Mitthabagilu village Belthangady Taluk who was traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.
