- A case of Burglary has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On the intervening night of 04-05/02/2009 some unknown culprits gained entry into the Sri Laxmi Sowhardha Credit Co operative Bank at Sri Nidhi Complex Naguri Kankanady Mangalore by breaking the shutter lock and committed theft of cash Rs. 1,43,796/ and gold ornaments all in worth Rs. 56,38,996/.

In the complaint it is alleged that accused Dr. Harprith Singh (husband) gave physical and mental harassment to one Shobhitha Rao owing to family dispute.

On 30/01/2009 at 2115 hrs accused Subramanya Devadiga, Girisha, Prakash and Sandeep abused Ananda Poojary (43) R/o Bajila Kalmaja village Belthangady Taluk, Divakara, Rathnakara and Gangadhara in filthy language near Nethravathi Bridge at Dharmasthala village Belthangady Taluk and assaulted them with stone and with rod owing to trivial issue.

On 30/01/2009 at 2115 hrs accused Ananda Poojary, Rathnakaram, Gangadhara and Divakara abused Girish (30) R/o Dharmasthala village Belthangady Taluk, Subramanya Devadiga and Prema in filthy language near Nethravathi Bridge at Dharmasthala village Belthangady Taluk and assaulted them by hand and with stone owing to trivial issue.

On 04/02/2009 at 2100 hrs accused Raghava Gowda, Sajesha Gowda and Surendra Gowda criminally restrained one Jaya Gudigara R/o Shivakripa Indabettu village Belthangady Taluk near his house and abused him filthy language and assaulted him with iron rod and with wooden stick owing to trivial issue.
- A case under House trespass, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 05/02/2009 at 1100 hrs accused one Narayana Bhat criminally trespassed into the house belonging to one Subramanya Bhat R/o Boliyamoole Bellare village Sullia Taluk and abused his sister Kusuma in filthy language and assaulted her with knife owing to previous enmity.

- A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 05/02/2009 at 1700 hrs on credible information PSI Bantwal Town PS along with staff intercepted a Maruti Swift car bearing Reg. No. KA-09-M-9581 near K.C. road at Amttur village Bantwal Taluk and seized 400 sachets (each 100 ML) worth Rs. 30,000/ from the car which was being transported illegally. The said Maruti Swift car has also been seized. Maruti Swift car driver however escaped from the place. The total value of property seized is worth Rs. 4, 30,000/.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. In between 05/02/2009 at 2100 hrs and 06/02/2009 at 0800 hrs one Ramesh (40) R/o Koriyaru Mudukonaje village Mangalore Taluk committed suicide by consuming some poison in his house owing to personal problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 05/02/2009 at 1000 hrs one Kushappa Poojary (60) R/o Daivangala Alady Sajipamunoor village Bantwal Taluk accidentally fell down from a Coconut tree near his house while removing coconut and got seriously injuries. Further he succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 05/02/2009 in between 0600 hrs and 1500 hrs one dead body of Chidananda (48) was found at Gandhinagara Sullia Town. The death seems to be some illness.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 05/02/2009 at 1615 hrs one Rajesh accidentally slipped into the Payasvini river at Aletti village Sullia Taluk while taking bath and died due drawing.
