On 10/02/2009 in between 0900 hrs and 1330 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to Shivaprasad Hegde (26) R/o Samethadka Bappalige Puttur Town by breaking the door lock and committed theft gold ornaments and gas cylinder all in worth Rs. 22,000/.

On 10/02/2009 in between 0930 hrs and 1210 hrs some unknown culprits committed committed theft of a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-H-2943 belonging to one Shrinivas (52) R/o Samethadka Puttur Town that was parked in the premise of State bank of Mysore at Puttur Town. The worth of motorcycle is Rs. 25,000/.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 10/02/2009 at 1300 hrs at Melkar Panemangalore village Bantwal Taluk one Ananda driver of Maruti Omni car bearing Reg. No. KA-51-2400 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-3496. As a result Ranjith (16) R/o Mular Balthila village Bantwal Taluk who was traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained grievous injuries. Further he was admitted to Govt. hospital at Bantwal where he was declared dead while under treatment on the same day at 1120 hrs.

On 09/02/2009 at 1600 hrs on NH 13 near Kulshekara dairy at Mangalore one Rathan rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-8451 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Veekshith (15) R/o Jyothinagra Padavu village Mangalore Taluk a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 10/02/2009 at 0900 hrs at Handelu Sutthu Putthige village Mangalore Taluk one Yadhava driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-C-AC-77 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Maruti Omni car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-P-6622 driven by Mushthak Ahammad (60) R/o Beluvai village Mangalore Taluk due which the omni car capsized. As a result one Tharakeshwar who was traveling in the said omni car sustained simple injuries.

On 09/02/2009 at 2130 hrs near Padhma Vidhya Garage at Uppinangady village Puttur Taluk one Chidhananda driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-5875 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Monappa Gowda (38) R/o Ambarje Konalu village Puttur Taluk a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.

No. KA-21-K-2821 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Namith (07) S/o Shivarama R/o Bolubail Jalsooru village Sullia Taluk a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.

On 10/02/2009 at 2000 hrs near KSRTC bus stand at Lalbagh Mangalore accused Sharath conductor of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-C-2270, Nagaraja driver of said bus criminally restrained one Pradeep Rai R/o Ankadakodi Bantwal Taluk and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him by hand. The motive seems to be dispute over timing of the bus routes.

On 10/02/2009 at 1945 hrs on credible information PSI Sullia PS along with staff intercepted a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-J-8782 near water tank at Mandekolu village Sullia Taluk and seized 36 liquor bottles (each 180 ML) of worth Rs. 1180/ and cash Rs. 566/ being transported illegally by arresting Yathisha (25) R/o Mandekolu Sullia Taluk and Kunhikannan (30) R/o Kanemardka Mandekolu village Sullia Taluk. The motorcycle has also been seized. The total value of property seized is worth Rs. 31,746/.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 09/02/2009 at nighttime one Subbamma (48) R/o CRC colony Aivarnadu village Sullia Taluk committed suicide by consuming poison in her house owing to health problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 07/02/2009 at 0930 hrs one Laxmi (26) R/o near Gangothri lodge at Dharmasthala village Belthangady Taluk accidently fell down while walking near her house. Further she was admitted to Wenlock hospital at Mangalore where she declared dead while under treatment on 08/02/2009 at 2200 hrs.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 10/02/2009 one unidentified male dead body aged about 35-40 years has been found in highly decomposed stage near Prakrthi chikithsa Kendra Dharmasthala village Belthangady Taluk. It seems to be a case of suicide by hanging.

- A case of Girl missing has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 10/02/2009 at 1845 hrs one Noor Jahan (22) left her house and did not return to her house there after. She has been found missing since then.
