- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 08/02/2009 at 1300 hrs on NH-48 at Yenjira Rekhya village Belthangady Taluk one Nanjesh driver of Tata Acee Magic vehicle bearing Reg. No. KA-18-N-665 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which car fell into a roadside ditch. As a result Vaneetha (30) R/o Kolagunda Arasikere Taluk Hassan District who was travelling in the said vehicle sustained serious injuries and died on the spot and Lohith, Pavana, Gagana, Sheela, Janani, Nethravathi, Madhu, Bhavya, Pavithra and Rathnamma (35) R/o Arasikere Taluk Hassan District sustained simple injuries.

No. KA-19-W-2200 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-R-1100. As a result Rayeen Sequeira (21) R/o Atthavara Mangalore rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-R-1100 and Preetham Saldana pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.

On 07/02/2009 at 1400 hrs at Madani Nagara Munoor village Mangalore Taluk one Mohammed rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Z-1491 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Siraj (10) a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.

On 08/02/2009 at 1215 hrs on Mulki- Moodabidre road at Kallamundkur village Mangalore Taluk one driver of Temp bearing Reg. No. KA-22-8986 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Maruti Omni car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-M-5166 driven by Mohammed Asharaf (32) R/o Haleyangady village Mangalore Taluk. As a result one Ismail who was traveling in the said Maruti Omni car sustained grievous injuries.

No. KA-19-S-7205 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Narasimha Rao a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.

No. KA-31-5524 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-25-B-5043. As a result one Ashoka driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-25-B-5043 sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 08/02/2009 at 1230 hrs on NH-48 at Satthikallu Kedila village Bantwal Taluk one driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-44-381 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against KSRTC bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-F-2469 driven by Gopala A. (49). As a result two passengers who were traveling in the said KSRTC bus sustained simple injuries.
