In between 21/02/2009 at 2000 hrs and 28/02/2009 at 0830 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the Sharada Press at Maroli Kulashekara Mangalore by breaking the door lock and committed theft of 330 aluminium sheets worth Rs. 23,0000/.
- A case of Burglary has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. In between 27/02/2009 at 2230 hrs and 28/02/2009 at 0300 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Leela (35) R/o Ashraya Colony Alangaru Mangalore by breaking the door lock and committed theft of gold ornaments worth Rs.22, 500/.
- A case of Burglary has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. In between 27/02/2009 and 28/02/2009 at 0500 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Premaraj Roshan Sequeira R/o Laila village Belthangady Taluk by breaking the door lock and committed theft of gold ornaments and 2 Nokia Mobile phones. The total value of stolen property is yet to be estimated.

No. KA-19-V-5401 belonging to one Lathif K.A. (57) R/o Kudrotti Katte Moodupadukodi village Bantwal Taluk that was parked near his house. The worth of motorcycle is Rs. 25,000/.

- A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 28/02/2009 at 1330 hrs accused one Jayananda (39) abused one Susheela (38) R/o Peraje Kodambettu village Bantwal Taluk in filthy language near Court Premises at Bantwal Town and gave life threat to her. The motive seems to be that one Susheela had earlier lodged a complaint against the accused in Bantwal Town Police Station.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 27/02/2009 at 1345 hrs near Bendoorwell circle at Mangalore one driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-9974 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Honda Activa scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-X-8767. As a result Honda Activa scooter rider Kusumadhara and Jeevan C (26) R/o Yeyyady Mangalore sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 28/02/2009 at 0930 hrs on NH-17 at Panambur Mangalore one Shibu driver of Tipper lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-9044 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing KA-19-W-2387. As a result one Dugga Naik rider of motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.

On 27/02/2009 at 2230 hrs accused Chidananda, Praveena and others 7 to 8 persons forming into unlawful assembly at Durganagara Thenkayekkaru village Mangalore Taluk and criminally restrained one Rajesh (23) R/o Jokatte Mangalore and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 28/02/2007 at 1830 hrs one unknown male dead body aged about 35 to 40 yrs was found in pond at Pilikula Moodushedde village Mangalore Taluk. The death seems to be due to drawing.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 28/02/2009 at 0900 hrs one Gopala (21) R/o Kondody Yedapadavu village Mangalore Taluk committed suicide by jumping into pond near his house owing to personal problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 27/02/2009 at 1900 hrs one Dhanavathi (45) R/o near Panduranga Bhajana Mandira Kulai village Mangalore Taluk accidentally got serious burn injuries while lighting a stave in her house and she was admitted to Wenlock Hospital at Mangalore where she succumbed to her injuries while under treatment on 28/02/2009 at 1215 hrs.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 28/02/2009 at 0900 hrs one Kamala (80) R/o Banatthapalike Karaya village Belthangady Taluk committed suicide by consuming poison in her house owing to personal problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 27/02/2009 at 1830 hrs one Appi (70) R/o Indabettu village Belthangady Taluk attempt to commit suicide by consuming poison in her house owing to personal problem. Further she was admitted to hospital at Belthangady where she declared dead while under treatment on same day.
