  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mulki Police Station. On 15/03/2009 at 1300 hrs on NH 17 at Haleyangady village Mangalore Taluk one Basavaraj driver of KSRTC Volvo bus bearing Reg. No. KA-01-F-826 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a Kinetic Honda scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-S-9296. As a result Kinetic Honda scooter rider Sahul Hameed (38) R/o Haleyangady village Mangalore Taluk and his wife Sowdha pillion rider of said Kinetic Honda scooter sustained simple injuries.

  • A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 15/03/2009 at 1625 hrs on credible information DySP Excise and Lottery Detention Squade Western Range Mangalore along with staff conducted raid on open place at Siddakatte Sangabettu village Bantwal Taluk and seized 65 liquor bottles (180ML) of worth Rs. 2,501/. However accused one Jayananda (25) R/o Mavinakatte Kukkipady village Bantwal Taluk managed to escape from the scene.
  • A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 15/03/2009 at 1920 hrs on credible information PI Excise and Lottery Detention Squade Western Range Mangalore along with staff conducted raid on open place at behind Ashwini building at Siddakatte Sangabettu village Bantwal Taluk and seized 93 liquor bottles (180ML) of worth Rs. 3,577/. However accused one Venkappa (42) R/o Hanneradu Kavalu Hokkady village Belthangady Taluk managed to escape from the scene.

Unnatural Death Report: 03

  • A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 15/03/2009 at 1630 hrs Yogisha (35) and Vishalakshi (16) R/o Padil Alape village Mangalore Taluk accidentally slipped into Nethravathi River at Sujir Pudu village Bantwal Taluk while taking bath and died due to drowning.
  • A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 15/03/2009 at 1345 hrs one Monappa (75) R/o Bolabail Jalsoor village Sullia Taluk attempt to commit suicide by consuming poison in his house owing to health problem. Further he was admitted to Govt hospital at Sullia where he declared dead while under treatment on same day at 1345 hrs.
  • A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 16/03/2009 at 0700 hrs one unknown male dead body aged about 40 yrs to 42 yrs was found near Deepa Traders shop at Bala village Mangalore Taluk. The death seems to be some illness.
