- A case of Burglary has been registered in Ullal Police Station. In between 1400 hrs of 07/03/2009 and 09/03/2009 some unknown culprits gained entry into the classroom at 4th floor A.B Shetty Memorial Institute Dental Science at Deralakatte Mangalore Taluk by breaking the door lock and committed a theft of DLP Projector worth Rs. 96,000/.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 09/03/2009 at 2200 hrs near K.K Gate Meenakaliya junction at Baikampady Mangalore Shareef driver of Tipper lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-30-7042 and another unknown driver of tipper lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-C-3013 drove their vehicles in a rash and negligent manner and collided against each other. Further Shareef driver of Tipper lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-30-7042 lost control over the vehicle and collided against the pedestrians Hanumantha, Shivappa and Yamunappa and caused them serious injuries. As a result Shivappa and Yamunappa died on the spot.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 09/03/2009 at 1945 hrs on NH 17 near bus stop at Ambika Road Ullal Village Mangalore Taluk one Samshuddin driver of Kerala State Transport bus bearing Reg. No. KL-15-7193 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a Scooty scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-6433. As a result scooter rider Raghav Uchil (60) R/o Kapikadu Ullal Mangalore and pillion rider of said scooter his son Sachin (28) sustained serious injuries. Further Raghav Uchil succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital.

No. KA-19-AA-5595 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against an Alto car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Z-7087 belonging to one Shamshuddin (40) R/o Jokatte Thokuru village Mangalore Taluk. As a result car got damaged. No causalities reported. The damage is caused about Rs. 30,000/.

On 09/03/2009 at 1615 hrs near Kalpana sweets at Central Market road Mangalore one unknown driver of car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-MA-350 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Sumathi (47) R/o Nagurigudde Thota Kankanady Mangalore a pedestrian and caused her grievous injuries.

As a result motorcycle rider one Nithin Glen D’Souza (18) R/o St. Joseph Nagara Mangalore sustained simple injuries.

On 07/03/2009 at 1600 hrs near Vas bakery at Balmatta Mangalore one Basheer (30) R/o Uppinangady Puttur Taluk passenger of the bus while getting down from the bus, the driver of bus moved the bus in a negligent manner due which he fell down from the bus and sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered Mangalore East Police Station. On 09/03/2009 at 1330 hrs on NH 17 at Tharethota Mangalore one Bhimappa Lamani driver of KSRTC Bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-F-2206 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against an auto tempo bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-6341 due which auto tempo driver lost control over his vehicle and rammed to Tipper lorry that was parked at roadside. As a result one Pushparaj (24) R/o Kapikad Mangalore driver of auto tempo sustained simple injuries and auto tempo also got damaged .
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 08/03/2009 at 2100 hrs at Aramburu Sullia Town one Thirumaleshwara driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-8735 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-3024 due which both the vehicles capsized. As a result motorcycle rider one Yathish and pillion rider of said motorcycle Sanath sustained simple injuries.

On 08/03/2009 at 1730 hrs accused Hingaru @ Sadanandha abused one Manjunatha (38) R/o Kurunja Shibaje village Belthangady Taluk in filthy language near his house and assaulted him by hand owing to trivial issue.

On 09/03/2009 at 0820 hrs on credible information DySP Excise and Lottery Detention Squade Western Range Mangalore along with staff conducted a raid on an open place at Madaka Gattikudru Amblamogaru Mangalore Taluk seized (35 ltrs) of illicit liquor worth Rs.20, 000/ and other raw materials by arresting Cyprian Cutinha (45) R/o Amblamogaru Mangalore. The total worth of seized property is Rs. 30,900/.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 09/03/2009 at 1100 hrs one dead body of Ramakrishna (52) R/o Padabettu Kottara Mangalore was found near seashore near Mosque at Thannirbhavi Mangalore. It seems to be a case of suicide by jumping into the sea.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. In between 08/03/2009 and 1445 hrs of 09/03/2009 one Neelayya Shetty (60) R/o Sanjaya Nagara Belthangady Town committed suicide by hanging at Kullanthi forest Layila village Belthangady Taluk owing to health problem.

- A case of Man missing has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 28/02/2009 one Lokayya Malekudiya (48) R/o Kolalu Malavanthige village Belthangady Taluk left his house and did not return to his house there after. He has been found missing since then.
