On 28/03/2009 at 1800 hrs on credible information DySP Excise and Lottery Detention Squade Western Range Mangalore along with staff intercepted an Omni car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-P-5313 at Yedpadavu Junction Thenkayedapadavu village Mangalore Taluk and seized 4 Cans (each 140 Lts) rectified spirit being transported illegally by arresting Hanif @ Kokkada Hanif (42) R/o Thalapady Bantwal Taluk. The car has also been seized.
Total worth of rectified spirit seized is Rs. 28,000/ In this connection, a case has been registered in Bajpe PS under Karnataka Excise Act.
