On 01/05/2008 at 0900 hrs two unknown culprits entered into the house belonging to one Sunanda Kamath (68) R/o Atturu compound Dongarakeri Mangalore and pretended as salesman and then took away gold ornaments all in worth Rs. 1,20,000/.
- A case under Robbery has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 01/05/2008 hrs in between 08:45 hrs and 0900 hrs two unknown culprits entered into the house belonging to one Madhava Bhat (63) R/o Attavara Mangalore and pretended as sales persons and then took away gold ornaments all in worth Rs. 55, 000/.
- A case under Robbery has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 01/05/2008 at 0915 hrs two unknown culprits entered into the office belonging to Lady hill Church at Urwa Mangalore and pretended as sales persons and then took away cash Rs. 1,30,000/.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Kadaba Police Station where in one Rajesh Rai was declared dead while under treatment on 01/02/2008 at 1910 hrs. The said Rajesh Rai sustained seriously injured by a motorcycle in a road traffic accident on 24/04/2008 at 1930 hrs at Kundaje Ramakunja village Puttur Taluk and admitted to admitted to A.J. Hospital at Mangalore. In this connection a case has already been registered in Kadaba Police Station.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 28/04/2008 at 0815 hrs at 8th cross Charmady Ghati Charmady village Belthangady Taluk one Raju K.J. driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. HR-38-G-6581 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control his vehicle due which vehicle capsized. As a result driver of lorry Raju K.J. and Ramaraju (60) R/o Subhashnagara Nelamangala Taluk Bangalore Taluk who was traveling in the said lorry sustained simple injuries.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 01/05/2008 in between 0615 hrs and 0745 hrs one Cheenappa Gowda (65) R/o Karthadka Kolthige village Puttur Taluk committed suicide by hanging in house owing to personal problem.
Missing Persons: 01
- A case of Woman and Children missing has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 29/04/2008 at 1100 hrs Dakshayani W/o Naveen R/o Kayarmar Karopady village Bantwal Taluk left her house along with her children Rahul and Rathan and did not return her house there after. They have been found missing since then.
