- A case of Murder has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 27/05/2008 at 2400 hrs accused Abusa R/o Sannaladda Kalia village Belthangady Taluk murdered her daughter one Arifa (13) R/o Sannaladda Kalia village Belthangady Taluk with help of her relative one Sharif R/o Barya village Belthangady Taluk by assaulting her with wooden stick.

- A case of MV Theft has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On the intervening night of 23-24/04/2008 some unknown culprits committed theft of a Hero Honda motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-L-6694 belonging to one Santhosha N. (33) R/o Quarters No. 166 near Railway Station Attavara Mangalore that was parked near Kankanady Railway station at Kankanady Mangalore. The motorcycle is worth Rs. 25,000/.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 29/05/2008 at 2215 hrs on NH 17 at Panambur beach cross Mangalore one unknown driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-7212 moved his vehicle in a negligent manner in backward direction and dashed against one Ramesha (28) R/o Bdakajekar village Pandawarakallu Bantwal Taluk a pedestrian and caused him serious injuries and died on the spot. The lorry driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 30/05/2008 at 0230 hrs at Thaneerubavi Panambur Mangalore one unknown driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. TN-46-D-9254 drove his vehicle in backward direction in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Jadoo Saheb cleaner of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-25-B-7071 and caused him serious injuries. Further he was admitted to A. J. Hospital at Mangalore where he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment. The lorry driver escaped from the place leaving his vehicle.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mulki Police Station. On 29/05/2008 at 1000 hrs at Diggers Query at Ullipady village Mangalore Taluk one Ponnuraj driver of Tractor bearing Reg. No. PCF-8682 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Ramesh while he was working at said Query and caused him serious injuries. Further he was admitted to hospital at Dearalakatte Mangalore where he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on the same at 1720 hrs

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 28/05/2008 at 1000 hrs on Surathkal-Kana road at Idya village Mangalore Taluk one Kruppaswami driver of Tanker bearing Reg. No. KA-21-6477 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a bicycle. As a result one Lakshmana (36) R/o Haya village Soraba Taluk Shimoga district rider of said bicycle sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 28/05/2008 at 1900 hrs near Handelu –Mulki junction at Puttige village Mangalore Taluk one Kabeer driver of rickshaw tempo bearing Reg. No. KA-19-C-922 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-20-Q-4427. As a result one Prasanna R. (25) R/o Karkala Udupi rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 28/05/2008 at 1600 hrs on NH 48 at Maripalla Pudu village Bantwal Taluk one Heerappa L. N. KA-19-F-2072 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Aziz (30) R/o Maripalla Pudu village Bantwal Taluk a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.

- A case under Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 28/05/2008 at 2030 hrs accused 4 unknown persons came in a Maruti Omni car bearing Reg. No. KA-20-M-7154 and stopped the bus bearing Reg. No. KA-20-A-9974 near Abbakanagara Kottarachowki Mangalore and abused one Ashith R/o Konchadi Mangalore driver of the said bus in filthy language and assaulted him by hand with stone and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

- A case of Gambling under Karnataka Police Act has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 29/05/2008 at 1700 hrs on credible information PI Mangalore North PS along with staff conducted a raid on Karavali Recreation club at K.S. Rao Mangalore. At the time of raid Police found 05 persons playing “Ander- Bahar” with cards. The Police seized cash Rs.1, 250/ and playing cards from the spot by arresting Rathnakara Rai, Ravikiran, Krishna, Prakash Sapalya and Raju who were indulged in gambling.
- A case of Gambling under Karnataka Police Act has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 29/05/2008 at 1745 hrs on credible information PI Mangalore South along with staff conducted a raid at Leeds building at Goodshedde Mangalore. At the time of raid Police found 05 persons playing “Ander- Bahar” with cards. The Police seized cash Rs.1, 600/ and playing cards from the spot by arresting Sunil, Sundra, Hammed, Shekara and Mutturaj who were indulged in gambling.
- A case of Gambling under Karnataka Police Act has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 29/05/2008 at 2030 hrs on credible information PI DCIB along with staff conducted a raid on Shambhavi Recreation club near KSRTC bus stand at Bejai Mangalore. At the time of raid Police found 08 persons playing “Ander- Bahar” with cards. The Police seized cash Rs.1, 170/ and playing cards from the spot by arresting Abdul Rahiman (65), Muttu (35), Ramesha (28) Basavaraj (28), Ramappa (47), Chennappa (51), Basavaraj (35) and Maruthi (24) who were indulged in gambling.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. In between 28/05/2008 at 0830 hrs and 29/05/2008 at 1100 hrs one Sadhu (75) R/o Dharegudde village Mangalore Taluk committed suicide by hanging near his house owing to health problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. In between 27/05/2008 at 1100 hrs and 29/05/2008 at 0900 hrs one Devappa @ Prasad accidentally slipped into the Netravathi river at Gudinabali Bantwal Town while walking and died due to drowning.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 29/05/2008 one Sathyanarayana (30) R/o Dasanakaje Nelluru Kemaraje village Sullia Taluk accidentally fell down near Halegate Sullia Town and he was admitted to Govt. hospital at Sullia where he decaled dead while under treatment on the same day.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 29/05/2008 at 0800 hrs one unknown male dead body aged about 50 yrs was found near bus stand at Ujire village Belthangady Taluk.. It seems to be death due to illness
