• A case of Burglary has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On the night of 13/05/2008 some unknown culprits gained entry into the Polya Shri Lakshmi Venkataramana Matta at Kabaka village Puttur Taluk and committed theft of cash Rs. 20,000/ by breaking the ‘Kanike Hundi’.

• A case of MV Theft has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 06/05/2008 in between 1400 hrs and 1700 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Hero Honda motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-K-9816 belonging to one Nazir H.M. (43) R/o Pranthya village Belthangady Taluk that was parked in front of Hotel at Moodabidre Town Mangalore Taluk. The motorcycle is worth Rs. 20, 000/.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 09/05/2008 at Jayanagara Kodikal Mangalore one driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-145 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a BSNL pole due pole got damaged. The damaged caused is about Rs. 90,000/.
  

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 12/05/2008 at 2315 hrs near S.C.S hospital at Mangalore one unknown driver of Maruti 800 car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-M-3352 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Maruti Omni car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-N-7149. As a result one Eric Lobo (41) R/o Kadri Mangalore driver of Maruti Omni car and his wife Saritha D’Souza who was traveling in the said car sustained simple injuries. The Maruti 800 car driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
  

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 13/05/2008 at 1530 hrs at Pampwell circle Mangalore one driver of Tipper lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-7164 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-D-2799. As a result Chandrahasa (48) R/o Kotekar Mangalore driver of bus and other 7 to 8 persons who were traveling in the said bus sustained simple injuries and the bus is also got damaged.
  

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 13/05/2008 at 1615 hrs at Thingalady Kedambady village Puttur Taluk one Thimmappa Naik driver of KSRTC bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-F-1521 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner due which one Maniga who was traveling in the said was thrown out of the bus and sustained simple injuries.
  

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 13/05/2008 at 1630 hrs near Forest office at Aletti village Sullia Taluk one unknown driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-06-B-2950 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-14-M-4272. As a result jeep got damaged. No causalities reported.
  

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 13/05/2008 at 1700 hrs at Anegundi Kanakamajalu village Sullia Taluk one driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-04-C-829 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a car bearing Reg. No. KA-09-M-7763 driven by one Shankara.. As a result Dr. N.S. Chandrashekar Shetty (62) R/o Saraswathipuram Mysore and his wife who was traveling the said car sustained simple injuries.

• A case of Rioting, Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 12/05/2008 at Cross padavu Permude village Mangalore Talukaccused A.G. Pai, Raghavendra Holla, Bhujanga Shetty and others forming into the unlawful assembly and criminally restrained one Etyappa Gowda R/o Cross padavu Permude village Mangalore Taluk, Krishana Gowda, Theraza Noronha and abused them in filthy language and also gave life threat to them.

• A case under Criminal restraint along with Hurt has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 13/05/2008 at 1100 hrs accused Poovayya M.L. and his wife Shashikala criminally restrained one Narayana M.L. (44) R/o Madikere Taluk Kodagu district near Canteen at Kallugundi village Sullia Taluk and assaulted him with wooden stick owing to civil dispute between them.

• A case under Karnataka Forest Act has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 13/05/2008 at 0700 hrs on credible information PSI Puttur Town PS along with staff conducted a raid at Jyothi Furniure Peramogeru Kedial village and seized 11 wooden logs and a jeep by arresting Ramanna, Ummar, Ismail, Naryana Moolya and Eshwara that was kept illegally there for sale.
