On 19/05/2008 at 0630 hrs at Kinyal Katte Kulthur village Belthangady Taluk one Anantha Malya driver of Maruti Omni car bearing Reg. No. KA-14-P-1990 drove his in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle and dashed against a tree. As a result Yashoda (35) R/o Arga village Thrithahalli Taluk, Umesh, Surendra, Deepthi and Rathnamma who were traveling in the said car sustained grievous injuries where in one Rathnamma succumbed to her injuries while on the way to hospital.

As a result Naseem (36) R/o Mukkacheri Ullal Mangalore Honda Activa scooter rider and Lathif pillion rider of said scooter sustained simple injuries.

No. KA-19-V-50 drove his in a rash and negligent manner and lost his control over the vehicle due which the vehicle capsized. As a result motorcycle rider Iqbal and Mohameed Shareef pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.

No. KA-19-B-5606 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over the vehicle due which the auto rickshaw capsized. As a result Wilson Crasta (19) R/o Kuriyala Bantwal and Sundari who were traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.

On 18/05/2008 at 1600 hrs near Church school at Guatthigaru village Sullia Taluk one Chanila Shashidhara driver of Mahindra jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-13-M-2103 drove his in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-H-6744. As a result motorcycle rider Venkataramana K. (39) R/o Devachalla village Sullia Taluk and Sowmya pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries. The driver of jeep escaped from the place leaving his vehicle.

On 19/05/2008 at 2030 hrs near Bharath Enterprises at Ujire village Belthangady Taluk one Sathisha rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-H-9626 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Francis D’Souza R/o Ujire Belthangady a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.

On 18/05/2008 at 1800 hrs accused one Addu criminally restrained one Matthias Miranda (39) R/o Kumeri Nada village Belthangady Taluk near his house and abused him in filthy language and also gave life threat to him. The motive seems to be that one Matthias Miranda had earlier lodged a complaint against accused person in Belthangady Police Station.

On 19/05/2008 at 1745 hrs on credible information PSI Puttur Rural PS along with staff conducted a raid at Attanagar Ariyadka village Puttur Taluk and seized 15 liquor bottles (each 180 ML) value of Rs. 525/ and cash Rs. 35/ by arresting Babu (35) R/o Volamogaru village Puttur Taluk who were selling these liquor bottles illegally there.

On 19/05/2008 at 1330 hrs one Jyasheela Shetty (50) R/o Koyikude village Mangalore Taluk attempted to commit suicide by consuming poison. Further he was admitted to Fr. Muller hospital at Mangalore were he declared dead while under treatment on 20/05/2008 at 0115 hrs.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 18/05/2008 at 1900 hrs one Jeevan R/o Dambel Ashoknagara Mangalore accidentally slipped into the Gurupura river while walking near his house and died due drowning.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 19/05/2008 at 0600 hrs one Subhashchandra (29) R/o Abbettu Meerumajalu village Bantwal Taluk committed suicide by hanging near his house owing to personal problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 19/05/2008 at 11100 hrs one unknown male dead body was found near Mahalingeshwara temple at Puttur Town Baikampady Mangalore.
Missing Persons: 01
- A case of Man missing has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. One Jaikumar (55) R/o KEB Quarters Kavoor Marakada village Mangalore left his on 03/04/2008 at 1830 hrs and did not return his house there after. He has been found missing since then.
