On 15/05/2208 at 0600 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging into Shashi Shetty R/o Penabettu house Beluvai village Mangalore Taluk breaking the front door lock and committed theft of silver ornaments and cash Rs. 750/ all in worth Rs. 3,000/.
- A case of Burglary has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On the intervening night of 14-15/05/2008 some unknown culprits gained entry into the shop at Nellikatte Puttur Town by breaking the door lock and committed theft of grocery articles all in worth Rs. 10, 500/.
- A case of Burglary has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On the intervening night of 14-15/05/2008 some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one John D’Souza (51) R/o Padill house Puttur Town by breaking door lock and committed of household items. The total value of property seized is yet to be estimated.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 15/05/2008 at 1730 hrs in front of Primary Health centre at Idya village Mangalore Taluk one Hiremutt driver of jeep bearing Reg. No. CNX-2295 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against pedestrians Imran (20) and Imran (20) and caused them serious injuries. Further both of them were succumbed to their injuries while on the way to hospital.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 16/05/2008 at 1115 hrs at Pumpwell Circle Kankanady Mangalore one Vinod Kumar driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-12-7239 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-20-Q-5772. As a result Maiyyadi pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained serious injuries and died on the spot. Further motorcycle rider Hussain also sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 16/05/2008 at 0715 hrs on NH 48 at Naguri Kankanady Mangalore one Yahya rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. TN-54-1354 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Thimmappa (65) a pedestrian and caused him serious injuries. Further he was admitted to Wenlock Mangalore where he succumbed to his injuries on the same day at 1310 hrs.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. In between 14/05/2008 and 1920 hrs one Poornima (18) R/o Shivanagara Moodushedde village Mangalore Taluk committed suicide by jumping to well near her house owing to health problem.
