- A case of MV Theft has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 03/05/2008 at 2330 hrs and 04/05/2008 at 0530 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Scorpio car bearing Reg. No. GA-05-B-0161 belonging to one Francis R. Pinto (53) R/o Alape Padil Mangalore that was parked in the premise of Delma Transports at Alape village Mangalore. The Scorpio car is worth Rs. 8,00,000/.
- A case of MV Theft has been registered in Ullal Police Station. In between 27/04/2008 at 1700 hrs and 29/04/2008 at 1100 hrs some culprits committed theft of a Hero Honda Splendor motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-09-EA-8813 belonging to one Noothan J. R/o Gonikoppa Piryapattana Mysore that was parked in the premise of K.S. Hegde Medical College Mangalore. The motorcycle is worth Rs. 25,000/.

- A case under Cruelty by Husband and his relatives, Abetment of suicide along with Dowry death has been registered in Bajpe Police Station on the complaint of one Hanumantha (30) R/o Halkukri village Badami Taluk Bagalakote district. In the complaint it is alleged that accused Yamanappa (Husband) and his relatives gave physical and mental harassment to his wife Shobha (25) W/o Yamanappa R/o Neerude Muchuru village Mangalore Taluk to bring more dowry due to which on 29/04/2008 she attempted to committed suicide by poring Kerosene and sustained serious burn injuries. Further she was admitted to hospital at Mangalore where she declared dead while under treatment on 04/05/2008 at 1200 hrs.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 04/05/2008 at 1310 hrs at Muloor village Mangalore Taluk one Thomas driver Maruti car bearing Reg. No. KA-02-N-6825 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Z-6160. As a result Nagaraja G.V. (24) R/o Kelakote village Davanagere distict driver of car bering Reg. KA-19-Z-6160 and Narahari Prabhu who was traveling in the said car sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 03/05/2008 at 2315 hrs at Sampya Ariyapu village Puttur Taluk one unknown driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-01-B-75556 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21- 6538 driven by one Hamza (26) R/o Maril Puttur Taluk. As a result Shakeena and Salina who were traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries. The bus driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

On 03/05/2008 at 1530 hrs on NH 17 at Kolya Someshwara village Mangalore Taluk one Sunil rider of motorcycle bearing Reg.. No. KA-19-V-4459 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against pedestrians Janardhana (35) R/o Kolya Someshwara village Mangalore Taluk and Krishna Krian Kumar and caused them grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 04/05/2008 at 1600 hrs at Kuddupadavu Kepu village Bantwal Taluk one Sathish rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-20-V-3048 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Babu Naik (32) R/o Kollaguli Alike village Bantwal Taluk a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 04/05/2008 at 1445 hrs on SH 48 at Pudu village Bantwal Taluk one Kabeer Hussain rider of bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-9719 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-F-2129 from behind . As a result motorcycle rider one Kabeer Hussain sustained simple injuries.

- A case under Sec. 9, 21, (1) (2) (3) (4) 23 and 24 MM (R.D) 1957 and 468, 471, 379, 420 IPC has been registered in Surathkal Police Station on the complaint of Mr.Niranjan A. M. Senior Geologist Mines and Geology Dept. On 04/05/2008 at 1300 hrs he along with staff while on duty at Mukka check post found 02 Lorries transporting iron ore form Hospet to Mangalore with duplicate permits. Thus he has lodged this and handed over the lorries with goods and documents to Surathkal PS who are conducting further investigation.

On 04/05/2008 at 1745 hrs on credible information PSI Panambur PS along with staff conducted a raid on an open place near ELF at Thokuru village Mangalore Taluk seized 6 liter of liquor of worth Rs. 300/. However accused one Pious Kathinchna (40) R/o Nadukudru Kunjathabail Mangalore managed to escape from the scene.
- A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 04/05/2008 at 1100 hrs on credible information PSI Bajpe PS along with staff conducted a raid on an open place near Dekkan park at Malavoor village Mangalore Taluk seized 12 liters of liquor by arresting Lakshmana (39) and Dayananda Shetty (34) R/o Kenjaru Katte Kenjaru village Mangalore Taluk.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 04/05/2008 at 1905 hrs one Kishan Kumar (33) R/o Jappinamogaru Mangalore consumed poison near Mission compound at Mangalore owing to health problem. Further he was admitted to Omega hospital at Mangalore where he declared dead while under treatment on same day.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 03/05/2008 at 0830 hrs one Sudhakar (30) committed suicide by hanging in his room at Sharavathi lodge Dharmasthala village Belthangady Taluk owing to personal problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. In between 04/05/2008 at 2245 hrs and 05/05/2008 at 0630 hrs one Anirudda M. (18) R/o Agarthabailu Matta house Balnadu village Puttur Taluk committed suicide by hanging in his house owing to personal problem.
